We asked coaches, fans, teammates, and opponents to send us their shout-outs for athletes who played impressively during the month of September. We will be highlighting several of those athletes. Up now, the class of 2025!
Brewer is a solid middle blocker with a fierce and very well-rounded game. She is an intuitive, athletic player, averaging 20 kills and as many as 6 blocks per match. Brewer has an impressive vertical jump and she is a great leader for her team.
Highlights
Cornell is a natural leader for the West Linn Lions as one of the team’s outside hitters. An athletic and physical player, Cornell is a key part of her team’s successes, and has amassed an impressive 143 kills and 110 digs so far this season.
Euhus, typically a middle, has stepped up to play on the outside for Santiam Christian this fall. Even though that position is new for her, Euhus has nevertheless taken it to it very well, leading her team in kills. The team captain is also a consistent and solid server and defensive player.
Highlights
Freeman is a very determined and hard working athlete. She is a versatile attacker, hitting solidly from both pins and making smart plays to find open court. Freeman also brings a calming, passionate, and fun presence to the court.

Gardner is a tenacious and dedicated defensive specialist for Nelson. She is a commanding back row player, doing everything to keep the ball in play. Gardner skillfully reads around the block and has notched 103 digs and 20 aces this season. She is also instrumental in out-of-system conversion with over 32 assists.
A six-rotation outside hitter, Hill has tallied an impressive 218 kills, 2 solo blocks, 18 block assists, 33 aces, and 132 digs so far this season. She can crush the ball effortlessly, and can also finesse shots with ease. Hill’s defensive skills are also impressive, and she showcases an all-out defense mindset.
Holder brings heart and passion to her Lakeridge team. Although she played on the pins or as a defensive specialist during her club season, Holder transitioned to setting this fall seamlessly. A dynamic and positive athlete, Holder’s energy on the court is infectious.
Holstrom, who received more than one nomination for a shout-out, is a solid outside hitter with a powerful, explosive swing. Holstrom is a skilled all-around player and brings a positive energy to the court. She is a natural leader for the Cardinals, too.
Jacie Madden
Jacie Madden
Madden is an aggressive, hard working player who puts her all into the game. Madden shines from the middle, often ending each match with the most kills on her team. She is an asset to Klamath Union, with an incredible attitude and a willingness to always improve.
Parker has bounced back from injury and had a productive start to the high school season. She is incredibly quick and athletic, and her ability to transition from outside to middle seamlessly is a testament to her athleticism. Parker is hitting an impressive .307 with 59 kills on 127 swings. She also has 18 blocks.
