Brueggen Among Top Hitters In The Class Of 2025

The Class of 2025 had a large group of hitters who had special seasons in 2023. I saw several of the big hitters in the class including the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='173375' first='Addison' last='Budke'] (Beloit), [player_tooltip player_id='154041' first='Logan' last='Parks'] (Blue Valley North), [player_tooltip player_id='173374' first='Maegan' last='Mills'] (Seaman), [player_tooltip player_id='465558' first='Cali' last='Honeyman'] (Nemaha Central), [player_tooltip player_id='153936' first='Jillian' last='Gregory'] (Maize South), and Smoky Valley's Katja Blanchet.   However, this report focuses on kill leaders from the Class of 2025 who I did not get to see play in person during the high school season.   [player_tooltip player_id='219716' first='Kendal' last='Brueggen'], 5'10, OH/MH, Hesston, ‘25 (Pictured Above)   The Swathers are always a solid program and Brueggen was one of their leaders. She finished with 570 kills in 86 sets played during her junior season. Brueggen is a six-rotation player who also is a consistent passer. She finished with 366 serve receptions and 354 digs.   [player_tooltip player_id='493370' first='Prayer' last='Roebuck'], 5'10”, RS/S/MH, Neodesha, ‘25   Roebuck can play multiple positions based on high school and club program needs. She recorded 525 kills during her junior season. In 90 sets played she also racked up 344 assists as a setter. She can hit from the right side or as a middle.   Samantha Klotz, 5'8”, OH/MH, Royal Valley ‘25   In a normal season, I would have seen the Panthers play at least once, but 2023 was not a normal fall for me. Klotz is a physical player with a big reach. She finished with 438 kills during her junior campaign in 84 sets played. Klotz also racked up 327 digs in the 2023 season.   [player_tooltip player_id='493396' first='Emily' last='Bainter'], 5'9”, OH/MH, Hoxie, ‘25   Bainter is a solid two-sport prospect. She recorded 436 kills in 88 sets played for the Indians. Bainter has a special serve that accounted for 64 aces in her junior season. Bainter is also a prolific scorer on the basketball court for Hoxie.   Jadyn Mangan, 5'10”, OH/DS, Greeley County, ‘25   Mangan is an athlete who can really jump and has a sweet-looking swing. She finished her junior season with 433 kills and 45 total blocks. The Jackrabbit athlete is a versatile player who can play multiple positions and recorded 87 aces with her hard serve.   [player_tooltip player_id='520294' first='Kenzy' last='McArtor'], 6'0”, OH, Clearwater, ‘25   McArtor registered 417 kills for Clearwater. The junior hitter also has a dangerous serve that accounted for 96 aces in 95 sets played.   Harlee Randall, 6'0”, MH, Flinthills, ‘25   Randall finished with 409 kills for the Mustangs in 81 sets played. She has a big reach and is scary good at the net. She recorded 90 total kills in her junior season.   [player_tooltip player_id='515573' first='Allie' last='Reed'], 5'8”, OH/RS, South Gray, ‘25   Reed recorded 350 kills for the Rebels during her junior campaign. She is also a solid defensive player who registered 383 serve receptions and 295 digs in the 2023 season.
