Kansas Pace Setters: Class of 2026 Assist Leaders

Those included in that group are [player_tooltip player_id='154038' first='Ella' last='Florez'] (Mill Valley), [player_tooltip player_id='355646' first='Allyson' last='Orth'] (Bishop Carroll), [player_tooltip player_id='731039' first='Georgia' last='Rogers'] (Basehor-Linwood), and Olathe West's [player_tooltip player_id='355651' first='Neely' last='Leathers'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at some of the top setters in Kansas that I did not get a chance to see during the high school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523628' first='Abby' last='Nash']</strong>, 5'7”, S, Maranatha Christian Academy, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nash recorded 834 assists in 106 sets played for the Eagles. Nash is quick and understands how to run an offense. She finished with 202 digs and added 42 aces to her sophomore stat line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355654' first='Rebekah' last='Slaughter']</strong>, 5'10”, S, Shawnee Mission East, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In 88 sets played Slaughter collected 761 assists for the Lancers. She is tall for a setter which makes her a weapon at the net. She added 69 kills and 34 total blocks to her 2023 statistics.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adison Williams</strong>, 5'5”, S, Hiawatha, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Red Hawk sophomore finished her season with 722 assists in 83 sets played. She also recorded 246 digs for Hiawatha and plays guard on the Red Hawks basketball team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='489770' first='Gyntre' last='Fletcher']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Wichita Northwest, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fletcher collected 690 assists in 76 sets played for the Grizzlies. She also has an accurate serve that accounted for 44 aces in 2023. Fletcher also plays softball for Northwest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='206380' first='Kalyn' last='Sampson']</strong>, 5'11”, S, Sedgwick ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sampson is a gifted athlete who racked up 621 assists in 78 sets played for the Cardinals. She is an all-around talent who filled up her sophomore stat sheet with 160 kills, 227 digs, 59 total blocks, and 65 aces. She plays club ball with the Air Capital Aces.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='489349' first='Kingzley' last='Ratzlaff']</strong>, 5'9”, S/OH, Hillsboro, ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ratzlaff played on a Trojan squad loaded with talent. She finished her sophomore season with 540 assists in 102 sets played. She also collected 143 kills and could move to a hitting position as she moves forward in her playing career. She is also an accomplished guard on the Hillsboro basketball team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kimmy Combs</strong>, 5'10”, S/OH, Neodesha ‘26</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Blue Streaks has a talented and versatile young athlete. Combs can hit or set and she plays forward or center for the basketball team. She finished her sophomore campaign with 513 assists and 313 kills in 90 sets played.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
