They never missed a beat on the court, even switching hitters as much as they were. These setters had to make connections quickly and be able to execute on the spot. Here are some savvy setters who impressed.
Despite being one of the youngest players at the Top 250 Expo, Bethany was one of the top setters. She was smart, clean, and efficient. Her footwork was next level, and she just fed her hitters time and time again. She could make great connections instantaneously with her hitters and spread the offense well.
Highlights
This class of 2027 has some great talent in the setter position, and Kenna is absolutely a part of that. I loved her offensive mindset. She had a great feeling as to when a dump would be effective. Kenna showed her range as a setter, keeping all of her hitters engaged even when she was pushed behind the 10′ line.

Anabelle had a way of elevating the game of those around her. She had a great court presence and a lot of confidence. She dished out dime sets time and time again. Anabelle showed her versatility and was not afraid to go up and take a swing on the second ball. She was aggressive and gritty, making even the toughest passes playable. Her jump set pulled blockers and gave her hitters 1:1 opportunities.
Reagan caught my eye because she always seemed to know exactly who was available to swing and how to best set her team up for success. She seamlessly utilized the back and front row and ran a fast-tempo offense. Her good form allowed her to do this consistently while on the move.

Avary Hoeppner
One thing that is hard to see virtually is the energy and communication; however, Avary was so encouraging and energetic that I could see it. Her natural leadership on the court, coupled with good form, made her a very impactful setter at the event. She got her feet to the ball well and had a quick, clean touch on the ball.
Ava could find every hitter no matter where she was on the court. She kept every hitter involved and worked great with the middles on her court. She was fearless in her choices and spread the offense well. Ava had a great touch on the ball and was impressive in scrimmage play.
Alexa was one of the first setters that caught my eye at the Expo. She has clean form and great court presence. She seems to move the ball around with ease and makes tough plays look natural. Alexa has a quick touch on the ball and has an effective jump set.

Iliana Chew
Iliana showed a lot of grit at the Expo. She was fast and used her speed to get around the ball well. Her fundamentals were sound, and she ran a very fast offense. Iliana set herself apart by being consistent yet not afraid to take risks or set against the grain.
Audrey is an athlete with a lot of potential. She impressed me with her hustle and effort. She also knew exactly when to tip and found the court numerous times with a dump. Audrey is an all-around solid athlete who caught my eye numerous times.

Kyra showed her versatility and potential at the Expo. She was solid in every aspect of her game. Her setting was impressive, but so was her defense and court awareness. She was confident in her jump setting and fed all of her hitters. Kyra was a fun athlete to watch throughout the Top 250 Expo.

Kelsey was gritty and smart with her sets. She was all over the court and was not afraid of running the ball down. She was engaged and ready for every play. Her footwork was impressive and really gave her a solid foundation to work from.

Claire moved the ball around quickly, efficiently, and cleanly. She could consistently dish out great sets at a fast tempo. Her speed and clean hands were a huge asset in transition, and she utilized every hitter she had.

Halle is crazy quick. I feel like she was standing there waiting for the pass to come on every ball, whether she was at the net or on the move. She got set so well which made her hard to read and gave her a lot of options.
