We’re zooming in on the top players of the 15 Open Division with Milwaukee Sting 15 Black taking home the title, avenging a loss to I AM VBC 15 Red in the finals.
MVP
Taylor Wold Taylor Wold 5'9" | S Arrowhead | 2027 WI – MKE Sting 15 Black
Taylor Wold Taylor Wold 5'9" | S Arrowhead | 2027 WI was the catalyst of the 15 Open Champions in MKE Sting 15 Black. She was the moment this weekend. As a setter and at times right side attacker she did a little bit of everything for her squad. Her IQ as a player showed when she knew the right times to attack on the second contact, establishing her middles, and getting the one on one matchups with her pins – and she used everyone. The serve/pass game of Sting 15 Black was on point Sunday where they had a dominating 3-0 record enroute to the championship, avenging their opening day loss to I AM VBC 15 Red in the finals.
Hannah Heitzkey Hannah Heitzkey 5'10" | OH Cedarburg | 2027 WI – I AM VBC 15 Red
Long, athletic, big time point scorer – Heitzkey had some big moments for I AM VBC 15 Red. She is a six rotation outside where she wasn’t afraid to take a big swing. She could go line, cross, deep, sharp, she had all the shots in the book. Her upside is scary with her length and whip of an arm swing. She will be a key player for IAM as well as Cedarburg High School.
Georgia House Georgia House 5'4" | DS/L Arrowhead | 2027 WI – MKE Sting 15 Black
So solid. Georgia House Georgia House 5'4" | DS/L Arrowhead | 2027 WI is another Arrowhead athlete who was the commander of the backrow for this Sting Black team. She was always in the right position. I notice the positioning because she’s not diving all over the court. She anticipates well, great footwork and platform awareness. Her intangibles on the court are positive as well where she connects with her teammates, brings a smile, and a spark.
Emma Muraski – FDL Fusion 15 Purple
So athletic. FDL Fusion won their pool on Saturday and finished the weekend 3-1 with a really well balanced team. Muraski was key in every facet of the game where she could defend, set, attack, and block. She is a Campbellsport prep where she was a key contributor as a freshman. Her success will continue to lead this Fondy Fusion squad who has plenty of small school talent from the area.
Emily Matthias Emily Matthias 5'5" | OH Fox Valley Lutheran | 2027 WI – Spiketown USA 15.1
This was the first Prep Dig event for Spiketown out of Appleton and they made a solid statement with their 15 National squad. Matthias is a high flying outside where she had an aggressive approach and wasn’t afraid to take a rip. She could score from the outside as well as the backrow where she showed her athleticism and how dynamic she could be. There is plenty of potential in this Spiketown squad where this core group could lead to building a solid program.
Charlotte Hayes Charlotte Hayes 6'0" | RS Oconomowoc | 2027 WI – MKE Sting 15 Black
A lot of power from the right side. Hayes was a gamechanger for MKE Sting 15 Black where she just found ways to score points and come up with the big blocks. You could tell Wold was comfortable going with Hayes because she seemed to find her at the right time. Hayes preps at Oconomowoc where she will be part of their successful tradition. Her hand contact and ability to control her swing is well advanced where she has some big potential for this season as well as the upcoming high school seasons.
Ella Peirick Ella Peirick OH Watertown | 2027 WI – MKE Sting 15 Black
One of the top serve receivers in the gym. Peirick can hit the split as an outside hitter, she knows how to score points, but her ability to serve receive was what stood out the most. Her platform is so relaxed and controlled and she looks the ball into her platform every time. She was so consistent and always found ways to contribute in a positive way. This past high school season, she made a statement for Watertown and will continue to be rising 2027.
Ivy Boelk Ivy Boelk 5'11" | MB Amherst | 2027 WI – Wisconsin Ice 15 National
Boelk has a lot of upside to her game and was a key player for Wisconsin Ice 15 National out of the Wausau area. She has plenty of length and physicality where she was a six rotation attacker who could score points. She preps at Amherst High School and broke into the varsity lineup a bit as a freshman.
Camilla Krief – I AM VBC 15 Red
Krief is extremely sound as a setter for I AM VBC 15 Red. She has great footwork and hands and is a very sound defensive player as well. Her play was key to running a balanced offense for I AM.
Morgan Vetter Morgan Vetter 5'5" | DS/L Kewaskum | 2027 WI – I AM VBC 15 Red
Vetter showed her experience and elite technical skills when it comes to serve receive and ball control. If she is able to get a touch on the ball, it’s going to be in system. She stood out among all liberos in the gym. She had a huge season her freshman year at Kewaskum where she had nearly 400 digs total.
Pacyn Stoffel – FC Elite 14 Navy
FC Elite 14 Navy played up an age group in 15 Open and one of the standouts for this team is actually in the middle of her 7th grade year. Pacyn Stoffel is a unique talent for FC Elite where she is over six feet tall, has plenty of length, and can do a little bit of everything. She is able to set and swing. Keep tabs on this 2029 prospect….yes, 2029.
