What Iowa 2026 Attackers Rose in the Rankings?

(Rob Howe/PD) </figcaption></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='215427' first='Ava' last='Groeteke'] - Dowling - Iowa PowerPlex</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Groeteke is another athlete who continues to get better each time she gets on the court.  Her jump touch has to be nearing ten feet with her hops and length.  She is a right side that can shut down an opposing outside and is a scorer as well.  The upside for Groeteke is extremely high.  She is on a really athletic and balanced team in Iowa PowerPlex 16 Mendoza who will have a chance to compete at a high level this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":489139,"width":"565px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2023/12/425-Hailey-Flanders.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-489139" style="width:565px;height:auto"/></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389074' first='Hailey' last='Flanders'] - Ballard - Iowa PowerPlex</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Flanders can contribute in every rotation.&nbsp; She can pass and attack with the ability to score points.&nbsp; This could be a big season for Flanders and her PowerPlex teammates.&nbsp; Flanders came off a strong high school season where Ballard finished with a 22-9 record and a regional final appearance. She will be a key catalyst for the Ballard program moving forward where they will look to take the next step in making it to Xtream.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389009' first='Grace' last='Mullihan'] and [player_tooltip player_id='389017' first='Bailey' last='Mullihan'] - Denver - Six Pack </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The twin duo was so impressive at the state tournament this past fall where they were a big part of why Denver advanced to the final four.  They attack out of the middle, but with their athleticism - they can score points from anywhere on the court.  The two combined for over 400 kills together and over 70 blocks.  Denver has a streak of state tournaments and they will be returning a strong core of athletes to continue their success. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"id":461497,"width":"471px","height":"auto","sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2023/09/137A4813.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-461497" style="width:471px;height:auto"/><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Dubuque Senior's [player_tooltip player_id='389066' first='Cambel' last='Drapeau']. (Rob Howe/PD) </figcaption></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389066' first='Cambel' last='Drapeau'] - Dubuque Senior - Adrenaline</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There is SO MUCH upside to Drapeau who had a breakout season for Dubuque Senior this past fall where she was an All District player.  At 6'1, a lot of length, she played out of the middle with over 200 kills and hit .323.  Her future could be on the pin, outside or right side, at the next level.  She moves extremely well and has a high contact point where she can score points in a lot of different ways.  This Adrenaline 16 Doug team will be fun to keep tabs on where they have a really great combination of athletes from Eastern Iowa. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='320104' first='Presley' last='Myers'] - Holy Trinity - Adrenaline</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='320104' first='Presley' last='Myers'] continues the tradition of strong volleyball athletes coming out of Holy Trinity Catholic in Southeast Iowa.  This past high school season, Holy Trinity was the Class 1A runner-up with Meyers having over 300 kills.  She will join forces with Adrenaline this season where she will hit on the outside.  With Meyers and Drapeau, that is going to be a lethal combo for the club out of Cedar Rapids. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='389844' first='Breanna' last='VanDenTop'] - Sergeant Bluff-Luton - MVP United</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>“Bre” [player_tooltip player_id='389844' first='Breanna' last='VanDenTop'] out of Sergeant Bluff-Luton is quite an athlete in multiple sports at SBL.&nbsp; She was an All District performer this past season while collecting over 300 kills and over 25 total blocks.&nbsp; She has the length, athleticism, and physicality to be a next level player.&nbsp; She is also one of the top point scorers for the SBL basketball team.&nbsp; She will then suit up for the MVP United 16 Red club team out of the Sioux City area.&nbsp; She is one to watch in Western Iowa.&nbsp;<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
