Ferris State got another one! Yes, another top 25 state prospect, this time in libero Hailey Flanders Hailey Flanders 5'8" | DS/L Ankeny | 2026 State IA out of Iowa. Flanders was the libero for Ankeny High School this past fall, leading a young team to the state tournament. Watching her live, you can see the impact she has on the entire game. Her range is what sets her apart whether it be her presence in serve receive or defense. She had a strong 2025 club season for Iowa PowerPlex which carried into her high school season. The combination of athletes heading to Ferris State is exciting for the Bulldogs.

Flanders stood out as one of the top liberos at Iowa City West’s Live Like Line Tournament early in the 2025 season. It continued what has been a breakout season for a student-athlete replacing a Power 4 athlete at her position. Flanders showed everything you want to see out of a performer in the back row. She is quick-twitch athletic that moves well laterally, a great foundation for success. The Ferris State commitment complements the natural ability with sound fundamentals and excellent communication skills. Flanders does well in helping keep her team connected on the court. She was credited with 221 digs through the team’s first 20 matches of her senior season.
