We watch from afar during their 14’s season, and then we get a peek during the freshman year of high school. But now that they are 15’s we should see players creating all kinds of buzz. Here are some of the players to know in the 2027 class as their club season is in full swing.
DeBoer made a big move to MN Select this season and will be playing up with the 16-1 squad as well. She is a player who will always catch your attention because of her dynamic and stealthy style of play. DeBoer is athletic and has a consistent and smart presence on the court. She has really good ball placement for such a young setter and after working with the NTDP she’s earned the #1 spot in this class.
Highlights
Bjorklund is another player I’ve gotten to see a few times over the course of her high school and club seasons. She has fantastic height, strength, and agility for both a setter and an attacker. Bjorklund is fluid on the court and does a great job getting the ball all the way out to the pins consistently. She is the total package with a high ceiling.

Utecht is a high level attacker who you can tell loves to compete. She is no stranger to the scramble and chaos of the game and she does a great job in transition. I love her high reach and wrist away swing that snags the defenders every time.
Mitteness plays such an important role in Kandi’s offense and she carries herself with so much poise and maturity. When they need to score they count on her firepower and variety of routes that she will run to keep their offense unpredictable. She does a great job defensively putting up a block and working around the opposing blockers to score big points.
Highlights
Osowski is finding a lot of success swinging from either pin. She understands the importance of footwork and quick transition. Osowski works hard to make herself available every time the ball comes onto her side of the court.
Singer is part of a highly talented group from Northern Lights 15-1s. One player who stands out is Singer because she is not only close to six foot but she has some of the quickest transition footwork. She jumps extremely well and gets up quickly for with the quick attack or as a blocker.

Christ is a very strong libero in this class that I’ve seen play a few times now. She does a great job of keeping her team in system and when they aren’t she can also provide a steady second contact to keep their hitters high hitting percentage. I love the potential for growth among all of these players.
