’24 UNI-Dome Challenge 17s Division Roundup

That certainly should be the case for Adrenaline 16 Doug, which finished second in the 17U Division. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>SMV 17-1 out of Rochester, Minn. took the title with a hard-fought, 25-22, 25-21 victory in the championship match against Adrenaline 16 Doug. The victors won all 14 sets they played during the weekend, while the silver medalists took 12 of 15 sets. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Adrenaline 16 Doug</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top in-state finishers in this division will be in the hunt for a regional title next month in Des Moines. It's a well-rounded squad with the pieces to get it done. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I've scouted [player_tooltip player_id='320104' first='Presley' last='Myers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='389066' first='Cambel' last='Drapeau'] throughout last club season and the high school campaign. Myers' game has grown significantly to where she's more than a hitter/blocker. While she's still really good at those skills, she's added the ability to play in the back row with improved agility and court movement. Drapeau showed me again why I think she can be one of the best players in the state's '26 class as a versatile, two-way performer in the front. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Paycee Sorgenfrey keeps winning me over every time I see her play. While she doesn't possess the cookie-cutter physical traits often sought after by colleges, this kid can deliver as a six-rotation dynamo. She's an explosive athlete with an insane vertical leap, hang time and power in the swing that can also dig it out in the back.
