As the #1 overall recruit for the class of 2027, Friesen has got some serious game. An incredibly tall setter, she stands at 6’1”; she has the skill, confidence, and finesse to execute a 5-1 or run a 6-2 and attack on the right side. Her setting capabilities are next level, harnessing a jump set and reversing the flow to create one-on-one scoring opportunities for her attackers. For NPJ 15-1 National, she will be a critical piece to their success this season.
Rohman enters the inaugural 2027 rankings as the the #2 setter in the class. She is an incredibly well rounded setter with the ability to play six rotations on the court no problem. On defense, she is active and involved, making athletic moves to keep the ball alive. A leftie, she makes for an explosive option on the right side when attacking. This club season you can find Rohman sporting a Webfoot 16-1 Elite jersey.
Rajan began her setting career as a 6th grader on OJVA 12-2 (playing for me!), and has not looked back. She has continued honing her craft, while getting taller each year, now standing at an impressive 6’1”. Her touch on the ball is soft and she exhibits a good set location consistency not often seen at her age. Across the front row, she is a formidable blocker with an aggressive press on the net. Left-handed, she is an offensive threat as a setter, swinging on the second ball to rack up points. This season, she will be setting and attacking for OJVA 15-1 Gold.
Highlights
McGregor is an athletic and dynamic setter. She is disciplined about getting her feet to the ball and set, with prominent left-right footwork. With a natural hand strength, she pushes the balls to the pins effortlessly. Her jump start is beginning to develop and improve each time I watch her play. Although undersized at 5’6”, she confidently plays across the front row when executing a 5-1. Her skill as a setter is being utilized with NPJ Portland 15-1 National this club season.
