Rajan has cemented herself as a top 2027 setter from Oregon, currently sitting at #4 in the setter category, according to PrepDig Oregon rankings. Standing at 6-2 and left-handed, she has all the makings to be a highly sought-after recruit. If she continues on her current trajectory, she should continue to move herself up in the rankings, I could see her breaking into the top 15.

She will help lead a #4 seeded OJVA 15 Gold team in the 15 Open at Emerald City. Rajan has the ideal measurables, 6’1″ and left-handed, and she looks longer than the listed 6’1″ height. She is a problem as a blocker when an outside is dealt a tight set, and her high contact as a setter is ideal for running middles on quick attacks. Rajan is only going to continue her improvement at the setter position, she is a player to watch in the PNW.

Rajan began her setting career as a 6th grader on OJVA 12-2 (playing for me!), and has not looked back. She has continued honing her craft, while getting taller each year, now standing at an impressive 6’1”. Her touch on the ball is soft and she exhibits a good set location consistency not often seen at her age. Across the front row, she is a formidable blocker with an aggressive press on the net. Left-handed, she is an offensive threat as a setter, swinging on the second ball to rack up points. This season, she will be setting and attacking for OJVA 15-1 Gold.

Rajan, a 6’1” setter from Catlin Gabel, played excellently all around on Sunday. Rajan has beautiful hands and places the ball well, and during positional drills at the Expo she was consistent and steady. As a leftie, Rajan is also an offensive setter, able to dump or attack the ball on two with ease. Despite her competitiveness and quick play, Rajan brings a calming, confident presence to the court. Given Rajan’s height and hands, she has a bright future in volleyball ahead of her.
