2027 Rankings Update: Middles Walling Up!

There is an excellent mix of height, athleticism, intensity, and talent on display in this class. Several players playing behind experienced middles during high school seasons have emerged as they play more during the club season. Martell is active on the block, she reads well and will dive into a seam to close down attacking lanes. She has had to learn to turn the ball to either find hands and tool the block, or work around hands for a swing at the deep corners. Nelson is a terror on any joust or 50/50 ball, she up and playing ot before most opposing players are on the way up at all. Her excellent movement translates to her speed closing the block as well, she has the footwork and vertical to help her pins close down the seam. As an attacker she does a nice job of finding an angle on her attack approach, giving her a natural swing path away from the block.
