Here we go:
Laughlin stood out with her strong play in the season-opening Six Pack tournament. She’s taken a step forward from there. Laughlin embodies the necessary traits for success in the middle. A 6-footer with long arms, she shows excellent athleticism and agility. Laughlin times her swings and blocks well. She brings power, which should increase with added strength and development. That skill set and projection could play at a pin, too.
Carly Olson
Carly Olson
Olson shares the middle with Laughlin on IPVA. It’s a pretty dynamic duo. Olson matches her teammate’s off-the-court explosion, also supplying a powerful swing. She quickly analyses action on the floor. It aids in seeing the defense when hitting and throwing up successful blocks. Olson often gets overshadowed by talented teammates, but her potential is consistently showing up this winter.
Hermanson has steadily improved since the end of the last club season. That stretch includes missing much of her prep season with an injury. Hermanson is healthy now and showing impressive versatility with each passing competition. Her ability to play multiple positions should be opening more doors in her recruitment. She could play pin in some programs and hold it down in the back row for others.
Highlights
Wolfswinkel is another well-rounded volleyball player. She could end up playing multiple positions on the next level. I could see her working well on the outside with her athleticism and clean swing mechanics. She’s also technically sound in the back row. She understands the nuances of the game and shares strong on-court connection with her teammates.
Highlights
Chapman keeps the show running smoothly from her setter position. She consistently places the ball where her hitters like it, sharing good timing with them. Chapman settles under the ball quickly, allowing her time to read the defense. She’s a solid defender at the net and her swing has improved since the beginning of the season.
Scheib is an intriguing prospect. Like other players on this list, versatility is one of her main strengths. Scheib stands out as a hitter on this Impact team. She jumps well, can hang in the air and swings with power. The junior can drop into the back row and perform as well. She’s a plus defender all around the court. Scheib also fits into an earlier article on other top uncommitted in-state players in ’25.
Highlights
Jonker is a steadying force for an Adrenaline team loaded with stars. She’s a force in the back row with sharp lateral movement and quick reactions. She can handle incoming pace and turn it into clean passes, allowing the squad to stay in system and the hitters to eat. She brings height to the position, adding versatility to her game. She’s steady and consistently sound with skill.
