In our continued release of the updated class of 2027 rankings, there are always going to be new (to us) players that have been added. Here are five new additions from five different clubs that have done enough to catch our attention.

[player_tooltip player_id='494521' first='Shania' last='Rhamy'], 5-8 OH, Southwood, Munciana

After watching her play, Shania not only plays with a chip on her shoulder, but also has opponents that underestimate her abilities, even after she dominates them. Her six-rotation skills are numerous---serve receive, pass-to-attack, block, attack at all angles and tough from behind the service line cover just about everything you need from an outside, and she'll rip a four-to-four angle just as easily as she'll hit a well-placed shot around the block. I like her fire, her relentlessness and her ability to shoulder the offensive load if things go south for her teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='494420' first='Kenley' last='Mitchell'], 6-0 MB, Heritage Christian, Rev

Having length for days is a nice trait to own. Using that length to dominate opposing attackers is a completely different argument that Miss Mitchell proves daily on the court. Her long arms and ability to read and react to opposing attackers looks to be her most natural trait, and she's slowly developing a two-footed attack in front of the setter that can terminate once developed. She's currently projecting to be an M2 at the next level, but I would not be surprised if her slide attack is trained more over the years to make her useful at both middle positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='499450' first='Krea' last='Martin'], 5-5 DS/L, Columbus East, Circle City

I've been high on Krea for some time now, and her bursting onto the scene up an age group with the libero jersey means to me that she's fully capable of the added pressure. Her serve receive platform is calm, her feet are constantly going, and her read-and-react ball skills are seemingly improving every time I see her play. I don't normally talk about floor defenders this early in their careers, but Miss Martin is definitely worth the mention.

[player_tooltip player_id='489971' first='Halle' last='Recker'], 5-10 S, Jasper, Metro

Hanging out under the radar in southwestern Indiana, Halle has the poise to run a 5-1 at the next level with all the tools to prove it. She's aggressive when needed, locates the ball well for her hitters, defends her position at the net well and can do all of the little things (without flair) to help her team win. A successful start to the club season, I look forward to the remainder of this club season for her, and what her future might bring next fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='481395' first='Layla' last='Wheatley'], 5-8 OH, Silver Creek, Union

If there ever was a six-rotation, primary-passing outside hitter from the southern half of the state that needs more attention, it's Layla. Her high-and-hard attacks are hard to defend against, and she tools blocks regularly despite her size. She's got every shot in the book, but why use them when the blocks she goes against are undisciplined? She takes what the defense gives her, and scores points in bunches. This Dragon caught our attention early on during this club season, and should continue to do so in the years to come.
