Top Setters: Five 2027 Ranked Setters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The setter position continues to be featured this month on Prep Dig Kansas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Earlier this week I showed some love to a group of unranked setters in the class of 2027. Today I want to shine the spotlight on five ranked setters. Each <strong>“young” </strong>athlete is ranked outside of the top 40 right now but will look to continue climbing the rankings as their skills evolve. Also, for whatever reason, this group has not been featured as often on Prep Dig as other higher-ranked setters in their class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='516259' first='Alyvia' last='Batchman']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Ellinwood, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Batchman was last featured in an Apil scouting report. She was among the league leaders in assists for freshmen with 399 in 87 sets. She is currently ranked No. 42 overall and has the sixth-ranked setter in the Prep Dig Kansas rankings for the class of 2027. She is a well-rounded talent who also recorded 135 kills and 153 digs as a freshman for the Eagles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='483925' first='Isabel' last='Lawver']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Shawnee Mission West, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lawver is currently ranked No. 44 overall by Prep Dig and as the eighth-ranked setter in the class of 2027. She has not been featured since a report last December. She racked up 430 assists in 81 sets as a freshman for the Shawnee Mission West Vikings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='483927' first='Adelyn' last='Moore']</strong>, 5'5”, S, Louisburg, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Moore had a solid freshman season for the Louisburg Wildcats earning her the No. 43 position in the class of 2027 rankings. She is the ninth-ranked setter by Prep Dig and this is the first time she has been featured in a report since last November. In 108 sets played last season, she collected 453 assists. She also has a nice serve which resulted in 32 aces for Louisburg.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='446318' first='Harriet' last='Dean']</strong>, 5'7”, S, Jefferson West, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dean is currently ranked No. 45 overall. She hasn't been featured since attending a Prep Dig event last August. The Tigers setter finished with 247 assists in 73 sets. She also added 123 digs to her freshman season stat line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='446317' first='Clara' last='Morgan']</strong>, 5'6”, S, Shawnee Heights, ‘27</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morgan is arguably underrated, as Shawnee Heights does not have published public stats. She has however had a solid club season for MAVS KC. She is a solid self-promoter on social media, which will make her recruiting process easier. She is quick, athletic, and a floor leader. Morgan is currently ranked No. 58 overall among her class of 2027 peers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
