Middles in Beast Mode at the Gauntlet: Part 1

The middles went off at the Gauntlet. They were some of the biggest stars of the show and made some of the biggest plays. This will be a two-part series to cover all of the awesome middles who dominated!    Layla is a powerhouse middle who was an impact player at the Gauntlet. She was dynamic and impressive in her consistent play across the front court. She was engaged and ready for anything that came her way and was quick and athletic in her movement.     Kyndal is one of those athletes who is simply an outstanding blocker. She gets great touches and massive blocks. From her timing to her footwork to her endurance, Kyndal is a very effective middle. While she excels defensively, she is also a force on offense.     Addison works incredibly hard across the front row, and it pays off time and time again. She works to get from pin to pin with her block and is always ready to be a factor on offense. Addison's explosive movement and speed puts a lot of pressure on opposing teams.     Peyton is a high-flying middle who is a huge energizer on the court. She is fast and athletic, which helps her out-pace her opponents. She reads setters incredibly well when she is blocking and can consistently close the block. Peyton was a stand-out player at the Gauntlet.     It is hard to talk about powerhouse middles without talking about Carolyn. She is one of the best in the country and takes on a heavy offensive load for her team. She even takes swings on out-of-system balls, which are incredibly tough to execute from the middle. Carolyn has a huge impact as a blocker and on offense. She is one of the top recruits in the country.     Molly is a very engaged middle who is hungry for the ball. Whether she is ripping a ball or pulling the block to give her teammates good looks on offense, Molly really seemed to have a team mentality at the Gauntlet. She was engaged and competitive on every point.     Camryn is a powerhouse middle hitter with an insane amount of raw talent. She is a huge presence at the net. Camryn is the type of athlete who will only continue to improve and impress as she continues to play at a high level. She is always ready to make plays and has some momentum-changing swings and blocks.     Ella was so fun to watch at the Gauntlet. She is dynamic and can swing effectively both in front of and behind the setter. Her slides were near-perfect every time I saw her swing. Not only is she powerful on offense, but she has great control as well, she mixes up her swings and is very efficient.     London is a high-flying middle blocker with huge potential. She takes an explosive approach and absolutely soars. London is another athlete with near-infinite potential, especially as she continues to impress and play at such a high level. Has a lot of power fueled by her massive vertical and has a positive impact on the court.     Ashlyn really impressed me with her blocking at the Gauntlet. I saw her play at State last year, and she did very well. She has really improved since then and has become a dynamic threat in the front row. Her high contact on the ball and smart shots help convert on offense, and her massive and consistent block stops a lot of offenses in their tracks.     Eden has quickly established herself as one of the top middles in the state. She is a very physical middle who is aggressive at the net and an absolute powerhouse on offense. She finds a way to be a part of every play, whether with her block or swing. Eden is a middle to keep an eye on in this class.     It is no surprise that [player_tooltip player_id='522880' first='Kendall' last=''] is the #3 middle in her class in Minnesota. She was so solid throughout the tournament. An absolute powerhouse middle who took huge rips on the ball. She found a way to make every play work and has such great contact. Her timing and connection with her setter were near-perfect.     Kayla is another middle in Wisconsin who has really began establishing herself as one of the top in her class. She is a powerhouse middle who manufactures kills. She also puts up a massive block and is a huge presence on the court every point she is in.     Summer is a 2027 who is playing up on Top Flight 16 Elite. You would never know she is a year younger, though. She plays with a lot of drive and competitiveness. She excels on offense, finding holes in opponents' defense and picking apart blocks. She is a fun middle to watch dominate on the court.
