SCVA Girls 15U Championships: Powerful Hitters

As the SCVA season draws to a close, PrepDig was on-site for Day 1 of the Girls 15U Championships at the Momentous Gym in Irvine. The venue was filled with familiar faces, all eager to cap off their season with a great showing to the college coaches in attendance and the hope of earning a final SCVA medal. Throughout the day, players demonstrated the skills they have fine-tuned over the club year. The following are some powerful hitters who caught my eye. Initially, her coordination was holding her back, but she has now achieved full control over her movements, showcasing her dedication and adaptability. Defensively, her timing is impeccable as she skillfully reads hitters rather than merely tracking the ball. Offensively, she executes smart, calculated attacks, including highly effective off-speed roll shots. Her passing technique is solid, consistently maintaining a reliable platform on both serve receive and defense. Given her significant progress and unwavering dedication, Eva is on a strong trajectory towards Division I volleyball. She has outstanding footwork fundamentals and effectively uses the momentum of her approach on the outside. Her excellent court awareness is evident as she effectively communicates the positions of setters and hitters loudly for her teammates. Defensively, she has a solid block press, making her presence felt at the net. Ryah's skills make her a standout player deserving of strong recruitment consideration. While she completely shines in the front row, her back row skills are solid on both serve receive and defense. Anaiya is a hitter who does not shy away from a block; instead, she powers through it. Defensively, she has a solid press on her block, making her a formidable presence at the net. Her athleticism, strength, and unwavering focus make her a force to be reckoned with at the net. With powerful and purposeful offensive attacks, she consistently delivers results. Despite being on a team brimming with talented hitters, Tristyn has risen to the top through sheer determination and skill, and her trajectory suggests she will only continue to ascend with more playing time. College coaches seeking a dynamic and dedicated player to enhance their program should strongly consider recruiting Tristyn.
