Tristyn Bailey Tristyn Bailey 5'11" | OH Oaks Christian | 2027 CA plays with a focused confidence you can see from the first swing.

Before the match, Bailey said committing to Notre Dame lets her play free and try new things without fear of mistakes. On the court, that showed up as a high, confident swing on the outside and strong blocks on both the right and left sides. She looked locked in with complete focus.

Bailey, a Notre Dame commit, says being committed hasn’t changed much, but it has changed how she plays. She holds herself to a high standard and treats every play as a full-effort play.

Tristyn’s Voice
“The biggest change in my game now that I am committed is mentally preparing for the next level. I have always played with the next level in mind, but now that I am committed, I hold myself to a high standard and play with full effort every play. I play free now that I’m committed, and I am not afraid to try new things in practice and in games. I put my full heart into the game, unafraid to make mistakes. Mentally, I have learned how to handle high-pressure moments and fight through lows. Honestly, being committed hasn’t changed much, but it does give me motivation to be able to see my goals I’m working towards more clearly.”

She has learned to handle high-pressure moments and fight through lows. A player who is unafraid to make mistakes is a player who tries new things in the biggest games.

Bailey was versatile for Oaks Christian throughout the entire tournament, as she did a little of everything. One thing I liked about Bailey was that she had great senior leadership. Despite not recording a kill in the second set of the final, she made up for it by scoring in other departments. Her serving was what really caught my eye, and her blocking definitely caught everyone’s attention.

*Bailey is currently enrolled at Oaks Christian High School, not Bishop Alemany. *

Tristyn Bailey Tristyn Bailey 5'11" | OH Oaks Christian | 2027 CA , an outside hitter from Mizuno Long Beach, is most excited to showcase the full range of her game at the UA Next Volleyball Camp. She takes pride in her hitting, blocking, and especially her defensive play, and looks forward to combining her physical skill set with strong leadership and a positive presence on the court. For Tristyn, this is also a chance to reflect the mental toughness she has developed and the time she has spent working to perfect her game.

Being invited to this camp is more than just an opportunity, it is a moment to grow. Tristyn is excited to play with other high-level athletes, challenge herself with new teammates, and continue developing her ability to form quick connections. She looks forward to competing alongside players from across the country and learning through every rep.

If she could bring one person with her, it would be her cousin Milan Lee. Milan is entering her final year of high school, and with limited time left to attend camps together, Tristyn would love to share this experience with her. Though distance makes it hard to see each other often, a day spent playing together would mean a lot. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

Tristyn Bailey Tristyn Bailey 5'11" | OH Oaks Christian | 2027 CA has truly come into her own on the court, demonstrating remarkable improvement from the first time I saw her play to today. Her athleticism, strength, and unwavering focus make her a force to be reckoned with at the net. With powerful and purposeful offensive attacks, she consistently delivers results. Despite being on a team brimming with talented hitters, Tristyn has risen to the top through sheer determination and skill, and her trajectory suggests she will only continue to ascend with more playing time. College coaches seeking a dynamic and dedicated player to enhance their program should strongly consider recruiting Tristyn. Michelle Bamford @ PrepDig
