Prep Dig Kansas released a major update to the class of 2027 rankings this morning.

The class now has 145 total ranked athletes and includes 35 debuting athletes.

Athletes, parents, and coaches can click on the “How We Rank” story under the “Rankings” menu to learn more about the process of ranking players.

There were no changes to the top ten, but several athletes increased their positions in the rankings. Here is the first of multiple reports this week on the new rankings featuring five hitters who climbed the rankings ladder.

The class of 2028 rankings are scheduled to be published next week. Coaches, athletes, and parents can reach out with suggestions for addition by email (deckscoutks@gmail.com) or via X (@KSScoutDeck).

[player_tooltip player_id='446251' first='Kylee' last='Webb'], 6'1”, OH, Olathe West

Webb is now ranked No. 11 overall after previously being ranked No. 26. She did not play varsity last season for the Owls. That's common for freshmen at large schools and West was loaded with hitters last fall. Webb had a solid club season and her performance in the upcoming prep season will be key to her future evolvement as a prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='446314' first='Bo' last='Bronson'], 5'11”, OH, Shawnee Mission Northwest

Bronson improved her ranking by nine positions moving from No. 22 to No. 13. Bronson collected 199 kills as a freshman. She chipped in almost every facet of the game finishing with 60 blocks, 186 serve receptions, and 163 digs in 80 sets played in last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='480408' first='Tinley' last='Wilson'], 5'10”, OH, Holton

Wilson was one of the biggest climbers during this update. She moved from the No. 61 position to No. 15 overall. She can dominate matches and I saw her dominate one this summer in a tournament at Seaman. She is athletic and her jumping ability is what makes her dangerous. Wilson recorded 257 kills for Holton as a freshman. She is an interesting prospect as I feel she can play at the Division I or Division II level, but she will have to work hard to get her name out there and get seen by coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='480405' first='Brooke' last='Parham'], 5'9”, MB, Andover

Parhman improved 43 spots in the rankings moving from No. 59 to No. 16. She is a dangerous middle who I saw play during the summer at a tournament at Butler Community College. She has a big reach and has solid blocking technique.

[player_tooltip player_id='530202' first='Avery' last='Gallagher'], 5'10”, MB, Spring Hill

Gallagher parlayed a solid performance at the MO/KAN Top 10 Tournament at Washburn into a giant rankings climb. She is now ranked No. 24 overall after previously being ranked No. 45. Gallagher is in a similar situation as Webb. She did not play at the varsity level for Spring Hill last season but could be leaned on this season. She is a physical athlete with bounce in her game.
