We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The second session was held on July 7th at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. This series of articles will discuss those special players that stood out for various reasons to our court coaches and scouts. They have won our prestigious Top Performer award. Let's meet the winners!

[player_tooltip player_id='475609' first='McKenna' last='McIntosh'] [2027] 6-1 Outside (HS: St. Mary's/Club: Vision/Verbal: Uncommitted)

McKenna is currently ranked as the 8th best overall prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays volleyball at St. Mary's High School and also for the Vision volleyball program. Miss McIntosh was arguably the best player in the entire gym on the night of the showcase. Her court coach was amazed at all of her skills that were on full display all night. She was able to get up off of the ground in a hurry and looked very great doing it. Her immense power in her entire body was very noticeable with every repetition. It does not matter where you put her on the court, because she will shine bright like a diamond everywhere. Her tall frame is only the first thing that people will notice about her, but if they just watch for a few seconds they will an absolute killer at the net. She has every skill that you would want in a “go to” hitter and can pass/dig like a primary libero. Her stock continues to rise every time I watch her play and what I saw at the showcase was no exception. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

[player_tooltip player_id='569584' first='Charlotte' last='Hall'] [2027] 6-0 Right Side (HS: Los Alamitos/Club: Seal Beach/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Charlotte is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but will be added to our official Watch List soon. She plays volleyball at Los Alamitos High School and club for the Seal Beach volleyball program. Miss Hall was amazing on the right side of the court all night long. She routinely stuffed opposing outside hitters at the net as the attempted to score on her. She is a very long opposite who can score over blockers with tons of power. Her reach is one of the most noticeable aspects of her play at the net. She uses her extra long extremities very well on both sides of the ball. What is great about her attacking is how she is able to come in for quicker tempos behind the setter and also hit high tempo with no timing issues in the same rally. This is a lot harder than the average volleyball fan truly understands and she makes it look easy. With her solid hand contact on the ball, she is able to place her shots wherever she wants to. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='525367' first='Makenna' last='Smith'] [2027] 5-8 Libero (HS: Mater Dei/Club: Orange Coast VBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Makenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Mater Dei High School and also for the OCVC volleyball club program. Miss Smith showed some amazing ball control skills at the showcase. Her back row play was commented on by a few of our court coaches. They also remarked that she was a perfect teammate helping others and being very vocally positive. To do this without knowing a lot of players is a lot harder than people think for teens, but Makenna was amazing at it. She showed some awesome platform work and created some great angles that kept the ball aimed toward her setter. I liked how the ball comes off of her platform very smoothly. It is a very natural and soft contact that can be easily replicated over and over. This is the second time that she has amazed her court coaches and earned this award at separate showcases. The first was at our Salt Lake City showcase and this proved that it was no fluke. We will keep watching her progress in the position and the sport. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
