She was able to contribute anytime the ball came to her, and she brought offensive power from both the front row and the back row.

Before the match, McKenna said, “We’ve put in the work, we trust each other, and we know exactly what we’re capable of.” Her swing looked like it. Sierra Canyon hosts Los Alamitos on Tuesday.

McKenna McIntosh McKenna McIntosh 6'1" | OH Sierra Canyon School | 2027 State #16 Nation CA is chasing a 4-for-4 finish in section championships.

McIntosh, a USC commit, was an NTDP Spring invitee in 2025 and a Durango All-Tournament selection that September. Our October look at California’s 2027 Top 10 listed her with 1,403 career kills, 904 digs, and 193 aces.

McKenna’s Voice
“Volleyball has been such a huge part of my life, and as I get ready to head to USC, I want to finish my high school career knowing I gave everything I had. This CIF playoff run means so much to me because I have the opportunity to go 4-for-4 in section championships, but more importantly, to leave a lasting legacy with this incredible group of girls. We’ve put in the work, we trust each other, and we know exactly what we’re capable of. We’re not just playing to win. We’re playing to make history, bring home a Section and State Championship, and leave a legacy that will be remembered long after we graduate.”

Those career numbers describe a player who contributes in every phase of the game, and her answer shows a senior who measures this run by what the group leaves behind. She talks about trust and capability as a team, not just her own résumé.

McKenna McIntosh has been producing at a high level since the day she arrived at Sierra Canyon. She opened her career with more than 400 kills as a freshman. As a sophomore, she pushed past 480 while hitting at an elite clip. Very few players carry that kind of offensive load that early.

What separates her now is everything she does beyond the kill. Her 904 career digs show an outside hitter who embraces passing and defense. When I watched her at the Durango Fall Classic, she was dominant on the outside, but her defense stood out even more. That is the part of her game that travels directly to the college level.

She plays with a complete game that makes coaching decisions easy. With 1,403 career kills, 193 aces and 131 blocks, she touches every phase of the match. On a Sierra Canyon roster loaded with talent, she gives the Trailblazers balance in all six rotations.

USC is getting a competitor whose value reaches far beyond the scorebook. She can help a team win in more ways than one.
