2027 Ranking Update: Setters

<p>The number of setters ranked in the 2027 class has grown to 23 in total, with another 8 on the Watch List. During the high school season, freshman and sophomores are less likely to play the position than experienced upperclassmen, many of the setters listed in the 2027 rankings now had a great chance to display their talents during this club season. </p>   <p>Here are the Top 5 setters in the class:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">The Curtis prospect plays with an advanced feel and the maturity of a seasoned veteran. Harris makes all the little plays to better the ball and has the confidence to make a big-time set with a match on the line, or take the big swing to end a set of that is what her team needs. The Prairie prospect did terrific work as a dual-threat setter and attacker for Aspire NW during club, she looks in line to have a big year for the Falcons this fall. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Malley was excellent during the club season, coming up clutch in big moments and staying dynamic on the court. She will jump set fast temp to either pin and looked confident running the BIC to her talented outsides. The Kentwood prospect is the #4 overall setting in this Rankings Update, and her NPJ squad improved throughout the season with Pozzi running the show. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Puttler is an offensive force out of the setter position and is willing to take chances and be creative to keep defenses off balance. The Emerald Ridge sophomore is the #21 overall player in the 2027 Rankings Update. The Everett setter checks in as the #32 player overall in the new ranking update. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Bhutani has good size for the position and is effective as an offensive scorer when she attacks the second ball. The Eastside Prep prospect is now ranked as the #9 setter overall, after a solid club season with Sudden Impact.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Major played as part of an outstanding setting duo at WVBA and is the #10 ranked setter in the 2027 class overall. She is quick as a defender and when running down the first contact; the Kamiak standout moves the ball around to find great matchups for her attackers. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Dela Cruz is a coach's dream- she always plays defense first! Once she releases the Timberline and Dakine prospect sets clean balls with terrific location for her attackers. The sophomore is explosive as a hitter, plays tough defense, and has great hands and feel from the setting spot.</p>     <p></p>
