<p>The high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in Texas as teams from all around the Lone Star State are either starting their district campaigns or finalizing their preparations for it.</p>

<p>This Friday, September 13, will be a busy day, with hundreds of matches taking place in the state, some of which are very promising ones, reuniting teams that look poised to have excellent seasons.</p>

<p>We picked three of them to feature as you prepare for an intense day of high school action in Texas:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Greenville vs. Melissa - 5:00 PM @ Greenville HS</strong></h2>

<p>In the Dallas area, Greenville and Melissa will face each other in their first District 13 match of the season. The Greenville Lions have a 17-8 win record for the season and won their most recent duel heading into Friday's encounter. Three seniors - outside hitters Ashlee Robison (168 kills, 63 digs, 67 passes) and Trinity Washington (141 kills, 121 digs, 93 passes) and middle blocker [player_tooltip player_id='357761' first='Jillian' last='Dracos'] (165 kills, 39 aces, 29 blocks) - have been leading the team's scoring efforts, supported by the contributions of junior setter Jaxey Walker (495 assists, 179 digs, 35 aces) and senior libero Caitlyn Musil (230 digs, 361 passes, 27 aces).</p>

Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='178262' first='Mackenzi' last='Davis'] (149 kills, 147 digs, 359 passes) has been very effective for the team, as well as senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='525252' first='Nenu' last='Kpea'] (133 kills, 61 blocks), senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='478829' first='Kimora' last='Castleberry'] (253 assists, 22 aces, 89 digs), junior setter Presley Williford (223 assists, 91 digs, 18 aces) and senior libero Karis Brinlee (211 digs, 263 passes, 16 aces).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Friendswood vs. George Ranch - 6:00 PM @ Friendswood HS</strong></h2>

<p>In Houston, Friendswood and George Ranch will meet in a non-district match. The Friendswood Mustangs have a strong 23-6 record for the season so far and are undefeated in their last 11 matches, including their district opener. Junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='318140' first='Nadiya' last='Shelby'] (323 kills, 99 digs, 49 blocks) had been on fire for them. Other standouts are senior right side [player_tooltip player_id='181381' first='Jordyn' last='Sims'] (175 kills, 43 blocks), senior middle Preslee Alaniz (107 kills, 58 blocks), junior setter Caroline Adams (595 assists, 149 digs, 31 aces) and junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='453167' first='Haley' last='Patton'] (314 digs, 397 passes, 25 aces).</p>

Other key players are senior setter Caroline Dawson (289 assists, 93 digs, 13 aces), senior libero Jenna Martinez (180 digs, 224 passes) and senior middle Ryann Farmer (45 kills, 32 blocks, 11 aces).</p>

<p>One of the top teams in Austin, Dripping Springs, and an elite program in the private school scene in San Antonio, Cornerstone Christian, are ready to duel. The Dripping Springs Tigers are having a formidable start to their season, with 33 wins and just one loss. Star junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='318127' first='Henley' last='Anderson'] (330 kills, 193 digs, 287 passes) is one of the main reasons for their success, alongside fellow junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='321291' first='Christa' last='Wilburn'] (193 kills, 211 digs, 210 passes), senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='179891' first='Riley' last='Certain'] (183 kills, 161 digs, 225 passes), senior libero [player_tooltip player_id='179887' first='Callie' last='Krueger'] (302 digs, 332 passes, 45 aces) and senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='314733' first='Ashley' last='Euston'] (77 kills, 62 blocks).</p>
