Four teams in Region 6 are set to compete in the semifinal round with a chance to play for a Division II state berth. Here are some key prospects to see.

AVON (22-2) vs. RIVERSIDE (11-12)

[player_tooltip player_id='401341' first='Londyn' last='Stone'] - 2026 | Avon | OH
Stone is one of the best pin attackers in this Ohio class. Although average in stature at 5'9, she has a lot of high-level competitive experience and great command of how she scores with her arm. At 4.4 k/s in 2024, she has increased her career average and single season impact as she recently surpassed 900 career kills. Stone's arm speed and power at either pin make her a very dangerous opponent as she can be relentless in the aggressiveness upon contact with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='728725' first='Bethany' last='Sherwood']- 2026 | Avon | MH
At 5'11, Sherwood has also increased her single-season impact in 2024. She is contributing a career best 2.7 k/s on a solid .423 efficiency while leading #3 ranked Avon in net defense with 63 total blocks. Sherwood has been consistent in her offensive contributions and provides a much needed presence in the middle phase to allow their pin action to get higher quality opportunities. As she can score off a one foot approach, she creates good space around her setter in quick option situations that allow her to move the ball around.

[player_tooltip player_id='593906' first='Jacleyn' last='Zgonc'] - 2027 | Riverside | OH
Zgonc is a big reason why Riverside is knocking on the door of a regional final appearance. The sophomore pin has led this team's offense all season as she has good maturity in her game following up on a productive freshman season in 2023. At 4.0 k/s, she has seen a lot of opportunity to swing by comparison to any of her teammates and it is her savvy court sense and shot making that helps keep teams off balance, while also having the ability to bring good pace when on time and balance in the air. In addition to her offense, she also adds nearly 11 digs per match.

AUSTINTOWN-FITCH (19-5) vs. WOOSTER (19-5)

[player_tooltip player_id='502124' first='Kylie' last='Folkwein'] - 2026 | Austintown-Fitch | OH
The junior pin has made a big leap in her output and impact offensively. She is up to 3.8 k/s and a .214 efficiency as the Falcons' leading point producer at the net. Some of the biggest gains for her are in her efficiency of movement and range in her arm. She has quickness in her transition work to get into good situations to build momentum and get her feet to the ball. In the air, she has continued to show good shot selection and different uses of her touch versus power. Folkwien also picks up over 10 digs per match.

[player_tooltip player_id='482485' first='Izzy' last='Direnzo'] - 2025 | Austintown-Fitch | DS/L
These most recent two seasons for the Falcons, Direnzo has been a huge piece as she has averaged nearly 19 digs per match over her junior and senior seasons. Her activity in the back row is efficient in her preparation as she sees the floor well and gets stopped and balanced to be able to make good moves in all directions. She can produce in bunches as she has two matches this season in which she picked up over 30 total digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='192132' first='Sara' last='Snowbarger'] - 2026 | Wooster | OH
At 6.7 k/s, Snowbarger has continued to be a huge offensive force for Wooster, which started in her freshman season. With a career average of 5.8 k/s, she has over 1,350 total kills with many more to come this season and through her senior campaign. She brings some of the best elite experience and has a confidence in her game and abilities that allows her to freely compete and be terminal with good efficiency. She had 37 kills in a midseason 3-2 win over Steele as a 20+ kill performance for Snowbarger is the norm most matches.

[player_tooltip player_id='403526' first='Grace' last='Jones'] - 2025 | Wooster | MH
Jones is the offensive counterpart to Snowbarger and is second on the team for Wooster's offense at a very respectable 3.6 k/s. Her contributions are up significantly from a season ago and have been vital to this team's success. She has good tools in her arm work in the air and she isn't shy to challenge the block while also having good vision and control to swing through open space for kills. Jones can also score in volume as she has been in double-figure kills in over half of their matches in 2024.
