Dunbar (22-8) played just one game besting Elizabethtown (25-10), 2-0 (25-15, 25-19). Smallwood made a number of solid plays on the day as well. A healthy Frederick Douglass squad (24-6) also beat Elizabethtown, 2-0 (25-16, 25-20) after beating Ryle, 2-0 (25-21, 25-15) that morning to win both games.

Jarvis (pictured) has turned into a solid leader for the Broncos trying to be a solid all-around player. She is sound from the strong left side on the go routes. She pounds down overpassed balls and has a great jump serve. The Transy commit had 307 kills on the season entering Saturday and a school record 1,040 for her career. Jarvis said the Broncos are blessed with size offensively that allows them to get their hands on many balls and a number of them have played together for years.

Stuart does a great job using her size to time up things on blocks and is a valuable offensive weapon for the Bulldogs. She said it helps that setter [player_tooltip player_id='198544' first='Isabela' last='Haggard'] does a great job communicating out there. Stuart has a solid slide swing and a tough swing in the creases. Start had 180 kills, 57 assisted blocks and 11 solo blocks entering action Saturday.

The lefty continues to be a solid offensive weapon for the Mustangs. She throws defenders off because her strong side is on the right side of the net. Anthony puts herself in solid position to put balls down at various angles. Anthony slams down overpassed balls and is becoming a clutch hitter for North Oldham.

Furuta showed a lot of promise on the lower levels in previous years and has stepped into an important role for the Raiders this year. Furuta works well covering the back row with the other defensive specialists. She lines her arms up with balls to make solid passes to setter [player_tooltip player_id='212347' first='Morgan' last='Heater']. Furuta had 375 digs and 37 aces on the season entering Friday.

Janes is doing a good job adjusting to the strengths of her hitters. She especially does a wonderful job putting balls up higher for the 6-6 [player_tooltip player_id='212253' first='Jessica' last='Smallwood'] she can rise above many blockers. Janes has a great back set and mixes in the setter dump. Janes is turning into a nice all-around player for the Panthers. Janes is also a sound blocker. Janes had 845 assists, 158 digs, 38 aces, 31 solo blocks and 12 assisted blocks for Elizabethtown.
