Lilah is a strong player that brings plenty of skill and energy to the court! She has a beautiful swing that is strong from the right side and brings an excellent attack with it in proper footwork and timing. She can produce multiple aces with a fantastic serve and will dig hardily from the back row. She covers her teammates well and can play a ball up that’s tight to the net digging hard. She gets good height with her vertical for the block and shows great court IQ putting herself where she needs to be ahead of the play! Her play is excellent, she has top talent no doubt!

Anthony’s experience playing on a top team at KIVA shows daily. Anthony has a great approach to the net and swings through with authority. The setters put balls at the peak of her swings allowing her to put balls through creases making opponents have to move to get to balls. Her head coach wanted to see more hits from the back row and Anthony had been doing that in the spring during club season. She steadily improved hitting balls there throughout her career. Anthony said acknowledging what went wrong on initial attempts helped her better balls on the next attempts.

Anthony has turned into a tough option for 16 Red from the right side. When the team is out of system and needs a kill, Anthony delivers time and time again. Anthony can push balls to the near corner then send hard ones to the far corner. She quickly transitions from defense to offense and does a good job helping at the net.

Anthony appeared poised for a huge season during club last spring and did just that. She’ll receive more than her fair share of spike attempts during club season playing with Isaac on the loaded KiVA 16 red squad as a lefty. She adjusts well to setters and smacks balls down at different angles. Anthony also uses her size and athleticism well to time blocks. Anthony is also a sound passer. Anthony had 284 kills, 57 solo blocks, 41 assisted blocks, 371 digs and 46 aces to help the Mustangs go 28-10 and win 29th District and 8th Region championships.

Anthony plays for a high-level club team and it shows. She puts balls down at different angles using her left hand. She also times blocks well. Anthony said the setters put balls where they’re needed and take coaching from the hitters and apply it well.
