Prospects & Teams Shake Up Rankings for NV Playoffs!!!

With high school varsity teams down to their last few regular season games, the push is really on to make the cut for the NIAA playoffs. This has been an exciting and competitive season and we've seen tremendous changes in the potential season ending brackets for each division. At the end of September we took a look at what the playoff picture would look like "IF" the season were to have ended and who teams would face in the first or second rounds of competition, but the last two-weeks of play has proven that every team is hungry and no one is taking a day off.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Who's shaking the rankings before playoffs?</h2>   <h3 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">5A Shake Up!!! 5A Shake Up!!! 5A Shake Up!!! 5A Shake Up!!! 5A Shake Up!!!</h3>   <figure class="wp-block-image size-medium"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/10/Liberty.jpg?w=300" alt="" class="wp-image-706465" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Liberty Patriots</figcaption></figure>   The Liberty Patriots have brought the noise and they have shown up to compete leaping into the 3rd rank of the 5A Southern-Mountain league standings and they are not looking to stop. With playoffs in their sight, 2026 OH [player_tooltip player_id='538593' first='Myla' last='Matavao'] who has blasted 130 kills and 158 digs through 55 sets played, 2026 Oppo [player_tooltip player_id='733132' first='Maia' last='Greer'] with 108 kills & 54 total blocks and 2025 MB [player_tooltip player_id='525194' first='Kennedy' last='Cooper'] who has an explosive presence will look to push their lady Patriots to maximize their effort on the court. [player_tooltip player_id='543093' first='Addison' last='Bohnet'], [player_tooltip player_id='543148' first='Ellie' last='Rosenbaugh'] along with major team efforts from [player_tooltip player_id='549416' first='Kahlia' last='Maiava'] will make a huge difference in how far the Lady Patriots go. This will be a major test! Super stars like [player_tooltip player_id='575140' first='Abigail' last='Vlaming'] who has dominated hitting with 385 kills and 306 digs, [player_tooltip player_id='666944' first='Mae' last='Stoddard'] who has lit the charts on fire with 581 assists through 78 sets played, [player_tooltip player_id='543122' first='Audrianne' last='Bernard'], Keirsten Cummings & [player_tooltip player_id='553581' first='Olivia' last='Jayne Roberts'] will lead Centennial in this effort and this will be a dog fight for the final spot. This group is lead by the phenomenal play of 2025 OH [player_tooltip player_id='729344' first='Elaina' last='Smith'] who has crushed 155 kills & 216 digs. Adding to the intense play of the the Mustangs are two dynamic and powerful Seniors; 2025 MB [player_tooltip player_id='729339' first='Bree' last='Farrimond'] who locks down defense with 51 blocks & 2025 MB/OPPO [player_tooltip player_id='532713' first='Ruby' last='Engert']. They have made an asserted effort in league play lead by a host of phenomenal players such as 2025 OH [player_tooltip player_id='616188' first='Sienna' last='Lopez'] who sets the tone with 245 kills through 91 sets played, 2027 L [player_tooltip player_id='733109' first='Leah' last='Hernandez'] who has 48 aces, 301 digs and an astounding 411 service receptions, 2027 MB [player_tooltip player_id='543112' first='Abigail' last='Keyes'] who's middle offense & defense is undeniable, 2025 MB [player_tooltip player_id='575136' first='Andrea' last='Romero-Agosto'] who's an all-around presence in every aspect of the game, but the smallest and mightiest crusader, [player_tooltip player_id='526099' first='K' last='Sawyer'] shakes up the team with 377 assists through 82 sets played! Impact players that you can't sleep on... Competing tough and finishing the job is why the Spartans have catapulted themselves to the #2 rank with two consecutive solid victories in league play lead by the dynamic and assertive skills of 2026 OH/OPPO Tayla Singleton who leads this group with 252 kills, 2025 OH [player_tooltip player_id='550863' first='Kimora' last='Combes'] with 213 kills & 55 aces, 2025 S [player_tooltip player_id='582923' first='Kiara' last='Gallinar'] who has posted an untouchable and resounding 608 assists through 71 sets played, 2027 MB/S [player_tooltip player_id='526196' first='Jazlyn' last='Arellano'] & 2025 L [player_tooltip player_id='729293' first='Emily' last='Zobrak']. These Spartans may be few in number but they wield the desire to win and they guard against opponents as they advance. They have one more league game which could shake up the rankings for playoffs. The fight for the top spot will not be easy because the Southeast Career Tech RoadRunners will look to maintain it's #1 rank. 2025 OH [player_tooltip player_id='567487' first='Luna' last='Ingaramo'] is not to be taken lightly as she is absolutely dominating with 294 kills through 85 sets played and just behind her is 2026 OH [player_tooltip player_id='543166' first='Mikaela' last='Fellows']! With one league game remaining for both of these teams, both are poised to make an impact on the 4A bracket overall. #2 ranked Pinecrest Academy will be lead by their 2025 hitters Gabrielle Maurer (Opp) & Hannah Claunch (OH) who both have racked up 143 kills in 87 sets played, 2026 S Alessandra Chamnong who's served up 74 aces, while 2025 L/DS Vaitea Yadao with 178 digs will be ready to keep the play going. Rancho will also look to push ahead and compete in every way. 2025 MB [player_tooltip player_id='526088' first='Sydney' last='Noelani Anderson'] who dominates the defense with 95 total blocks is destined to defend Rancho's readiness to play. [player_tooltip player_id='543917' first='Layla' last='Driscoll'] has locked in 200 assists and she's not looking to slow down as playoffs approach. With one more league game remaining for both teams, look for another possible shake up in the 4A division.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">3A Shake Up!!! 3A Shake Up!!! 3A Shake Up!!! </h3>   <figure class="wp-block-image size-full"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/10/Spring-Creek.jpg" alt="" class="wp-image-706464" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Spring Creek Spartans</figcaption></figure>   The Spring Creek Spartans have taken control of the 3A Northern-East league and they are not slowing down. 2025 OH Brynlee Petersen has slammed 100 kills through 36 sets played while 2026 S/Opp Avery Merrill has 242 assists through 39 sets played. 2025 L/DS Paige Luzier has made her presence known posting 191 digs with 228 service receptions which validates the fact that this team is poised to control the league and make an effort through the first round of playoffs as they contend for a State Championship. With one league game remaining for the Spartans, they'll strive to show what they're made of and stay in contention.   <h3 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">2A Shake Up!!! 2A Shake Up!!!</h3>   <figure class="wp-block-image size-medium"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2024/10/Lake-Mead-Christian.jpg?w=300" alt="" class="wp-image-706676" /><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles</figcaption></figure>   The Lake Mead Christian Academy Eagles have shaken the 2A Southern league up and they've stepped their game up in a major way propelling their team into the #2 rank and they've made an asserted effort to maintain impactful play. Lead by their top hitter 2025 MH/Oppo [player_tooltip player_id='548010' first='Aliyah' last='Harris'] who has blazed through 129 kills and the 2025 S Avafaith Salazar who's posted an astounding 253 assists through 30 sets played, the Eagles are determined to not only make playoffs, but challenge for a chance to win the State Championship. All remaining games for the Eagles are league games, and this will be one contentious finale to the close of the season which only yields the top four teams into playoffs. Lead by Senior OH [player_tooltip player_id='582884' first='Ruby' last='DeChambeau'], the Bulldogs have completely dominated through the season in all the ways that count toward making playoffs and setting the stage for a repeat. The Bulldogs will face three more teams in league play that will challenge their ability to maintain the #1 rank, but their 10-game winning streak proves they are ready! The Eureka Vandals (#1 ranked overall) of 1A Eastern, the Round Mountain Knights of 1A Central and the Liberty Baptist Academy Knights of 1A South will all have something to say about this as they all remain undefeated in league play.
