<p>The high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in Texas as district play is underway for teams all around the Lone Star State as we approach the decisive moments before the start of the postseason.</p>

<p>Every match matters and there will be quite a few key ones all around Texas on Tuesday, October 15. We picked three of them to feature as you prepare for an intense day of high school action in Texas:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Byron Nelson vs. Keller - 5:30 PM @ Byron Nelson HS </h2>

<p>In Dallas, the match to watch is the District 4 duel reuniting two of the top teams in the state, the Byron Nelson Bobcats and the Keller Indians. Byron Nelson were beaten only once in 30 matches this season and are on a 25-match winning streak, which includes their first 11 district matches. The team's incredible campaign has been propelled by excellent performances by junior outside hitters [player_tooltip player_id='320954' first='Kylie' last='Kleckner'] (417 kills, 224 digs, 404 passes, 36 aces) and [player_tooltip player_id='253981' first='Ashlyn' last='Seay'] (332 kills, 223 digs, 395 passes, 36 aces), sophomore setter [player_tooltip player_id='534307' first='Sophee' last='Peterson'] (1,031 assists, 145 kills, 50 blocks, 39 aces), sophomore libero [player_tooltip player_id='433638' first='Kaitlyn' last='Francis'] (270 digs, 222 passes, 23 aces) and senior middle Rayvyn Thomas (87 kills, 45 blocks).</p>

Leading the Indians are senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='751915' first='Carley' last='Wright'] (243 kills, 168 digs, 136 passes, 40 blocks), junior right side Lilly Boatner (221 kills, 10 blocks), junior middle Sophee Dean (148 kills, 52 blocks), junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='253969' first='Anna' last='Flores'] (650 assists, 126 kills, 229 digs, 43 aces) and junior libero Lauren Scheiden (311 digs, 265 passes, 25 aces).</p>

<p>In Houston, the duel between the Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs and the Fort Bend Clements Rangers could have significant implications in District 21. Austin has a 24-13 win record for the season and is currently in second place in the district with seven wins and one loss. Sophomore setter [player_tooltip player_id='534332' first='Tinsley' last='Welker-Brown'] (846 assists, 172 kills, 306 digs, 48 aces), senior outside hitters Bailey Blackburn (374 kills, 272 digs, 256 passes, 52 aces) and Kylie Beer (163 kills, 120 digs, 82 passes), senior libero Gabrielle Kennedy (475 digs, 436 passes, 66 aces) and senior middle [player_tooltip player_id='593913' first='Lizzie' last='Edwards'] (246 kills, 50 blocks) have been key pieces in their campaign.</p>

The Rangers are getting a big chunk of their production from senior outside hitters Maggie Myers (239 kills, 319 digs, 348 passes, 30 aces) and Samantha Vann (199 kills, 286 digs, 302 passes, 35 aces), senior setter Keyun Zhang (656 assists, 210 digs, 98 kills, 57 aces), senior middle Samara Parihar (187 kills, 52 blocks) and senior libero Emma Levy (324 digs, 510 passes, 27 aces).</p>

<p>In El Paso, the Chapin Huskies and the El Paso Tigers will meet in District 1. Chapin have 17 wins and 13 victories so far in the season and appear in second place in the district with three wins and two losses. Some of the team's most important players are sophomore outside hitter Zoeh Cereceres (397 kills, 99 digs, 195 passes, 42 aces, 34 blocks), junior middle Ja'Lynn Valadez (163 kills, 16 blocks), senior libero Arianne Nieto (344 digs, 389 passes, 26 aces), junior setter Isabelle Gonzalez (800 assists, 125 digs, 47 aces) and freshman defensive specialist Gianna Dominguez (325 digs, 322 passes, 53 aces).</p>

<p>El Paso have registered 22 wins and eight losses in 2024 and lead the district standings with five victories. Junior outside hitter Angie Castro (370 kills, 89 digs, 28 aces), senior middles Angelique Delahoussaye (293 kills, 54 blocks, 25 aces) and Isabella Hernandez (128 kills, 41 blocks), senior setter Amanda Mendoza (708 assists, 311 digs, 47 aces) and sophomore libero Gaby Lara (312 digs, 19 aces) are some of the team's standouts in the season.</p>
