<p>The high school volleyball season continues to progress at full pace in Texas as district play is underway for most of the teams all around the Lone Star State and just like that, we made it to October.</p>

<p>Play continues to develop at full pace on Friday, October 4, with hundreds of matches taking place in the state, some of which are very promising ones, reuniting teams that look poised to have excellent seasons.</p>

<p>We picked three of them to feature as you prepare for an intense day of high school action in Texas:</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Royse City vs. Forney - 5:30 PM @ Royse City HS</h2>

<p>In the East Dallas region, the District 10 duel between the Royse City Bulldogs and the Forney Jackrabbits is certain to draw attention. Royse City have 32 victories and six losses this season and are currently in second place in the district with four wins and one loss. Senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='185443' first='Kylee' last='McCoy'] (663 kills, 321 digs, 519 passes, 43 aces), senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='229384' first='Alayna' last='Howard'] (1,103 assists, 276 digs, 65 aces), junior middle Abigail Maldonado (208 kills, 45 blocks), senior outside hitter Patience Gibson (179 kills, 283 digs, 600 passes) and junior libero Sophia Garcia (222 digs, 374 passes) are some of the players who took the team to their current position. </p>

<p>Forney have 23 wins and eight losses overall this season and rank fifth in district play with two wins and three losses. Leading the team are junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='644458' first='Kylie' last='Rodriguez'] (363 kills, 259 digs, 269 passes), senior outside hitter Addison Hunt (137 kills, 93 passes), senior middle Sydney Davis (100 kills, 51 blocks), senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='354190' first='Arianna' last='Reyna'] (506 assists, 210 digs, 45 aces) and senior libero Addison Smith (179 digs, 147 passes, 23 aces).</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bridgeland vs. Cypress Woods - 5:30 PM @ Bridgeland HS</h2>

<p>In the Houston area, the District 16 duel between the Bridgeland Bears and the Cypress Woods Wildcats should be a fun one. Bridgeland have 22 wins and 11 losses this season, but have been unstoppable in district play, sitting at the top of the standings with five victories. Sophomore outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='644469' first='Justice' last='Rachal'] (292 kills, 202 digs, 338 passes), senior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='187020' first='Rebekah' last='Pfefferkorn'] (273 kills, 35 blocks, 68 passes), junior libero Alexis Couch (258 digs, 344 passes, 16 aces), junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='391045' first='Kennedy' last='Boatman'] (523 assists, 149 digs, 47 aces) and senior setter Grace Wegenke (414 assists, 171 digs, 34 aces) are some of their standouts.</p>

Junior outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='536463' first='Caroline' last='Walden'] (315 kills, 205 digs, 380 passes, 30 aces), senior outside hitter Jaya Rimm (245 kills, 218 digs, 374 passes, 36 aces), senior middle Allison Doolen (206 kills, 56 blocks), senior setter Katy Oetken (547 assists, 200 digs, 20 aces) and junior libero [player_tooltip player_id='509419' first='Addison' last='Gibson'] (451 digs, 479 passes, 25 aces) form the core of the team.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Navarro vs. Davenport - 6:00 PM @ Navarro HS</h2>

<p>Moving West to the San Antonio region, keep an eye on the District 26 encounter between the Navarro Panthers and the Davenport Wolves. Navarro hold a 24-12 win record for the season and are the fourth-best team in the district with one victory and one defeat. Leading the team's campaign are senior outside hitters Kate Wozniak (302 kills, 265 digs, 429 passes, 140 assists, 31 aces) and Morgan Helms (267 kills, 148 passes, 43 blocks), junior middle Rylee Smith (206 kills, 110 blocks, 38 aces), junior setter Avery Sisak (415 assists, 198 digs, 33 aces) and senior libero Tegan Harborth (383 digs, 475 passes, 23 aces).</p>
