KY 250 Expo: Five Defensive Specialists to Watch

Fortener does a good job anticipating balls and putting forth a solid forward motion for sound two and three-point passes. Fortener adds in a nice jump serve that gives opposing defenders fits. Sieg is trying to improve her skills not only through club season, but also playing basketball for St. Henry. Sieg's Dad said she's dreamed of playing for the tradition-rich Crusaders since the third grade and has definitely put in the work to do that. Sieg does a great job hustling after balls and makes nice passes out of system. Sieg has shown she can dive and dig up solid hitters in addition to earning a lot of points on serves. She uses her athleticism to move not only front and back, but also to both sides. She makes solid, fast decisions on the court using her great ball control for solid two to three-point passes. Bromley does a good job moving her feet and anticipating balls. Bromley does a great job covering the net and has a nice hard serve that keeps opponents out of system.
