Updated Rankings: 2028 Stat Monsters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So far this month state champions have been crowned, All-Deck Teams were named, and rankings for the Classes of 2027 and 2028 were published.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I will feature scouting reports the rest of this month on some of the top statistical performances in the state before the club season gets underway in December.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This first edition focuses on members of the Class of 2028 since rankings for that class were updated yesterday. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here is a look at five ranked athletes who were stat monsters in at least one key statistical category during their freshman seasons. The Olathe North prospect was among the unofficial list of assist leaders for freshmen. In 88 sets played she recorded 780 assists. The Garden City setter finished with 375 assists in 92 sets played. George helped lead Garden City to the Class 6A State Tournament. She was one of the main attackers for the Royal Valley Panthers as a freshman. She recorded 452 kills in 102 sets played. I saw her play club ball last season with the Topeka Saints, but missed her and the Panthers this season. She was among the state leaders in digs for freshmen. In 85 sets played for the Bluebirds she collected 376 digs. She also recorded 219 kills for Goessel. She is currently ranked No. 14 overall by Prep Dig. The Spring Hill freshman recorded 412 digs in 100 sets played.
