Kempf (pictured) moved up 56 spots because she did an outstanding job running Sacred Heart's fast-paced offense. The Valkyries were loaded with hitters and Kempf did a great job finding their strengths and putting them in position to put balls down. Kempf could also make big digs when needed. She finished her senior season with 941 assists and 193 digs, helping the Valkyries go 33-6 overall, win two in-season tournaments, another 27th District title and make it to the 7th Region semifinals.

Nelson is a true example of a person on and off the court, hence the reason for moving up 19 spots. Nelson always made sure her teammates were in the right mindset on the court after the Bruins scored points and if the play did not go their way. Nelson is bringing an outstanding skill set to Murray State. She constantly squares up balls for big passes and finds her spots on the court to land timely aces. Nelson could set up hitters when Central Hardin was out of system. Nelson finished the season with 455 digs to go with 98 aces and 76 assists, helping Central Hardin go 35-6 overall, winning another 5th Region crown.

Blackburn moved up 17 spots after demonstrating outstanding enthusiasm on the court this season. Blackburn picked up her game after St. Henry lost a number of key hitters from the previous season and took a lot of the younger hitters under her wings. Blackburn had 225 kills, 22 solo and 56 assisted blocks, helping St. Henry go 33-6 overall, winning a second straight All "A" State championship, another 34th District crown and finish in the 9th Region title game.

Christopher won the KVCA 12th Region Player of the Year honors with an outstanding season, moving up 20 spots. When the Rebels needed a kill, they could depend on her to put balls down. She sees the floor then finds holes with a great follow-through. Christopher finished the season with 408 kills, 264 digs and 70 aces, helping the Rebels go 30-10, winning a third straight 45th District crown and make it to the 12th Region championship game.

Montgomery moved up an astounding 94 spots in the rankings after an incredible season for the Crimsons. Montgomery is a big reason the Crimsons have risen into a region contender role in recent years. Montgomery brings a strong dynamic to the court. She does a number of things such as setting to different spots, making solid digs and landing big kills when Manual needed them. Montgomery finished the season with 504 assists, 149 digs, 161 kills and 35 aces, helping Manual go 29-11, win a third straight 25th District title and make it to the 7th Region title game for the second time in three seasons.

Trapp brought the grit to the court that has become a part of the Ryle identity in her two seasons there, so she moved up 22 spots. She continued to point out things from the bench after an injury cut her season short toward the end of the regular season. Trapp did a good job pounding balls to different parts of the court and going hard after balls. Trapp had 205 kills and 210 digs for the Raiders this past season.
