High-Scoring Outside Hitters at Tour of Texas Warm-Up

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most popular and competitive tournaments in the entire club volleyball season in the state, the Tour of Texas is coming up shortly, with the first of two stops scheduled for 2025 set to take place in Houston, from January 18-20.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This weekend, teams from the Lone Star State that will compete in the event will have a great opportunity to test themselves at the Tour of Texas Warm-Up, which will be held at the Austin Convention Center, reuniting north of 150 teams across 11 divisions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some seriously talented Texas players will be on the court this weekend and we're presenting some of them during the week. She plays a major role in the team, providing stability on the backcourt and firepower at the net. Ralston has the profile of a dream outside hitter because she delivers as a libero when it comes to passing and playing defense, but can make a major impact offensively as well. Her ball control and her confidence in first contact are truly remarkable and help her handle her defensive duties very efficiently. Planchet is powerful and has excellent vision to find ways to beat blockers with strong swings. She likes to diversify offensively and is very good at keeping her errors low. With her and [player_tooltip player_id='318127' first='Henley' last='Anderson'], the team has arguably the best pin hitter duo in the entire state and should be among the favorites in the biggest tournaments of the season. Udoye is a real gem and has been developing at a very promising pace. Her game at the net is among the very best in the country as not many pin hitters can score (from both the pin and the middle back position) at the same rate she does, while also offering a strong blocking presence.
