Meet the Backrow Bosses from the 2024 SoCal Top 250 Expo – Pt. 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prepdig Nevada may not have been on-site, but we were fully tuned into the recent SoCal Top 250 Expo LIVE through BallerTV. This event brought out a very impressive group of talented athletes, and it was a privilege to watch them crush our fast-paced drills and team competitions. Even from a distance I could feel the energy through the screen as some of the top liberos and defensive specialists from the 2025-2029 classes showed off their insane skills—amazing saves, perfect out-of-system setting, next-level reading abilities, and leadership in the back row. She's quick to react and made some key saves throughout six-on-six competitions, showing off her defensive instincts and helping keep her squad in rallies. Her overall versatility and court awareness were qualities that really stood out. She excelled in left back, but her versatility shines through as she can play middle back just as efficiently. Her form was textbook, and she consistently made clean, accurate passes with excellent angles. One of her standout qualities is her ability to get solid height on her passes, giving her setter a ton of options for the next play. She's always moving – whether it's diving to the floor or leaping for a tough dig. What's even more impressive is that she's only in eighth grade, yet she already has such a strong volleyball IQ and strong passing skills. Her out-of-system setting was next level—whether it was sending a high ball to the outside hitter or delivering a perfect backhand set to the opposite hitter. Her reading skills are spot-on, allowing her to anticipate plays and react quickly. She's also a great communicator on the court, always talking to her teammates during and between plays. When the setter gets the first ball, Olivia immediately steps up to deliver out-of-system sets to the pins. The junior did a great job covering the hitters every play and being readily available to take second ball for any out-of-system situations.
