PrepDig Resolution 15u Preview: Setters Set to Steal the Show

Setters are often referred to as the quarterback of the team. They lead the offense, distribute the ball to their attackers, and position their team for success. Being an efficient and effective setter takes a considerable amount of time and exposure to high level volleyball. A few of the freshman we will see at the PrepDig Resolution in a few weeks are anything but new to the role, have already faced hefty competition, and had a stellar, standout first year of high school volleyball running the offense on varsity. Keep an eye on these setters as they are set to steal the show at the PrepDig Resolution in a couple of weeks.    Standing at 6'0", OMalley could be seen setting and hitting for Montello varsity this past fall. She had 114 kills, 47 aces, and dished out 310 assists in her freshman year. Charlee is a very aggressive setter with really good court vision, and thus, she was able to rack up several kills by executing a wide variety of setter dumps. When teams come up against [program_tooltip program_id='428646' first='Spiketown' last='USA'] in a few weeks, they will need to be mindful of her and on their toes when she is setting or they will be left scrambling.     Visner found herself getting some reps on the varsity floor this year at Catholic Memorial.  She dished out over 100 assists and averaged 3.6 assists per set. Visner is versatile in her set selection. She can push the ball to the pin, run her middles, and can also set tempo. Visner is bringing her skills to [program_tooltip program_id='540307' first='Wisconsin' last='Elite Volleyball'] and I anticipate her team will be poised to do great things at the PrepDig Resolution with her at the helm.      Babiash is a freshman that earned significant playing time this past fall at Waupun High School. In fact, I would be surprised if she ever left the court. While quarterbacking the show at Waupun, Babiash delivered 692 assists, 281 digs, 45 kills, and 46 aces to lead her high school team to a winning record. Not only does she deliver a clean, hittable ball, but she is super scrappy and plays stellar defense.  Babiash will be with [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] in Appleton in a few weeks and it will be fun to watch her lead this team of outstanding 15s.      Ngo is another freshman setter that played varsity her first year of high school at Wausau West. Her strengths come in not only her setting but in her defense and serving. Ngo is very quick, agile, and aggressive. She is also super scrappy. Ngo is all over the court running to set out of system balls or diving to prevent balls from dropping with her superb defense. Ngo will be an important part of her [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] team in several capacities as they take the court in Appleton at the PrepDig Resolution.       Klapperich preps at Sheboygan Area Lutheran where she found varsity playing time as a setter and right side. Klapperich dished out 2.7 assists/set, had 47 aces, 66 kills and 122 digs. Karli has good court vision and makes efficient movements to help her team find ways to score. She will be fun to watch as she brings her many skills to [program_tooltip program_id='431932' first='South' last='Shore Slam'] as they compete in Appleton.
