Attention Everyone, Eyes on ME!

That what every player in the 2028 class is saying going into the club season. Out of the Mitten state, this is once more a class chock full of serious potential and a lot of talent.

This latest rankings update has seen over 80 athletes in the midst of the 2028 watch list. We're going to be taking a look at this class position by position. Next up, let's talk about those towers in the middle! This class is looking to be another top notch group of future blocking stars. A good chunk of these players got significant minutes in the fall, which is quite the feat for a rookie.

These are the six big names that you need to know going into the club season!

[player_tooltip player_id='710236' first='Morgan' last='Borodychuk'] - Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant consistently finds themselves with a player to keep them in the conversation. [player_tooltip player_id='710236' first='Morgan' last='Borodychuk'] is looking to be another one of those. With a lot of length and athleticism, Borodychuk was able to play just about anywhere along the net at a high clip. She was especially efficient in the middle and was one of the state leaders among the freshman in kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='644173' first='Brooklyn' last='Beardsley'] - Lake Fenton

With the way [player_tooltip player_id='644173' first='Brooklyn' last='Beardsley']'s game is going to skyrocket this club season, a player like her puts Lake Fenton in the front seat of Division 2 next fall. Beardsley stands at a nice 6'1 and can be quite the explosive player. She showed a nice range of attacks this fall and had huge strides in her blocking.

[player_tooltip player_id='569774' first='London' last='Gibson'] - Marian

[player_tooltip player_id='569774' first='London' last='Gibson'] was a part of the middle question at Marian. This area of the court saw the Mustangs with a different player starting at every match. Gibson proved to have been one of the first off the bench and provided a great spark. She has a lot of raw potential and when everything came together, it was a treat to behold.

[player_tooltip player_id='569766' first='McKenzie' last='Andrews'] - Mercy

She's already touted as one of the best players in the 2028 class, regardless of position. [player_tooltip player_id='569766' first='McKenzie' last='Andrews'] is looking to not be far behind her older sister, Ella's, footsteps. At 6'3, Andrews boasts a pretty significant advantage. She follows up with a heavy arm and already impressive blocking sense. Due to injury and personnel, Andrews saw little time in the fall with Mercy. However, she is surely to light up the stages of 15 Open with Legacy 15-1 Adidas.

[player_tooltip player_id='569773' first='Skylar' last='Ignash'] - Cass City

This is another younger sister of a powerhouse player, [player_tooltip player_id='156307' first='Shelby' last='Ignash'] (Texas Tech). Needless to say, much like Andrews, the apple doesn't fall too far. Ignash's game has a seriously high ceiling. Quiet to start off, Ignash slowly but surely came into her own for the Hawks this fall and became quite the compliment to her older sister as one of the team's strongest blockers. Her offense saw leaps and bounds as well as she hones in her long wing span.

[player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'] - Stoney Creek

If you saw her in the fall, you wouldn't know [player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'] was one of the class' most promising prospects in the middle. Showing off her wide range already at such a young age, Sheldon proved a force on the pins for Stoney Creek this fall. She has a fast, heavy arm and her leaping abilities puts her in such great scoring opportunities. As I expect her to move back into her natural position, look out for Sheldon in the middle.
