Ranked Outsides On The Rise in the Class of 2028

The class of 2028 is home to some top-tier hitters who have caught our attention over the past year and earned a well-deserved spot in our rankings. These players have shown their commitment to the game and possess the drive and potential to play at the next level. Get to know these talented young athletes and learn how they made their way into our latest rankings release.    Already standing at 6'0" as a freshman, the young hitter is an absolute beast on the outside. She has a textbook approach with big arms that allow her to power up and really put the ball down. She has a killer line shot that she can hit over and over again, plus she showcased some of her passing skills over the season in serve-receive situations. Garcia is a name you absolutely want to add to your radar and will hear a lot more from in the next few years. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     We've been keeping an eye on Sydney since last year's club season and immediately recognized her as a standout pin hitter. She gained significant exposure over the fall, dominating at our freshman and Top 250 Expo showcases and earning a top performer award. Mason's powerful swing helped her secure a spot on the talented Sierra Vista varsity team, where she played oppo. This freshman is sure to be exciting to watch during the upcoming club season in either pin position. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Tiyanna brings serious power to her swing. The outside hitter has been consistently impressive, delivering strong swings every time I've seen her in action. Her sharp cross-court shots are especially tough to defend. In addition to her offensive skills, she excels on the other side of the ball, accumulating blocks and making clean passes in the back row. Tiyanna has worked hard to develop multiple skills, which has earned her plenty of court time in club and at Silverado High School. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Michaela has been a sight to see over the last year. I saw her during club season last year, and she has continued to hone her skills, playing better than ever each time I see her in action. She can play all six rotations effectively, which is nearly a standard for today's game and puts her ahead of the average player. She is incredibly versatile and can adapt to any position on the front row, whether playing pin or occasionally middle. No doubt, she has a bright future in high-level volleyball. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Sanai made a huge impression on scouts at the Top 250 Expo, executing powerful swings that were tough to defend. She can hit cross, line, and anywhere in between, showcasing her high volleyball IQ and ability to mix up her attacks on the fly. Her high reach and quick snap make her a serious threat offensively, but she also has an excellent passing platform in the back row, which has allowed her to get maximum court time by effectively playing all six rotations. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Adison has taken her game to the next level following an impressive club season last year. She excels at using and tooling the block to rack up points with ease. When she's not finding ways around the block, she's blasting powerful cross-court swings past it or down the line. Additionally, she boasts one of the best serves in her class, frequently racking up aces with her tough float serve. This player is undoubtedly on the rise and is poised to have a standout club season. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     McKinley made her debut on varsity this season with Virgin Valley, helping the team go 8-2 in the regular season and reach the 3A Southern Region Semifinals. The freshman had an outstanding season, earning triple-digit kills and digs. Additionally, she collected a significant number of aces, adding to her accomplishments in her first year of high school. Hughes is a hustler and scrappy, rarely letting anything drop around her to keep plays alive. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Valeria, aka Val, was a key player on Canyon Springs JV, earning a well-deserved MVP award for her performance. She has a powerful swing that she can execute on the outside, right side, and in the back row. Her team could always count on her to score points through attacks, as well as with her tough top-spin serve and setting up plays for her team with solid passing in the back row. Her skills earned her a spot on the varsity team, giving her the opportunity to gain post-season exposure in her freshman year. --Kantessa Bryant-Miller @lasvegasvbanalyst @prepdignv     Aneiya is a dedicated volleyball player, constantly working on her craft to become the best player she can be. For starters, her serve has developed into one of the best in her class and will earn her a TON of aces throughout her volleyball career. McCullough competed on varsity this season, earning her letterman as a freshman and a prestigious honorable mention award among a lot of talent in the 3A division. She can do it all on the court and earned a well-deserved Offensive MVP award for her school.
