'Bros To Know From Prep Dig Tournaments

This past month I was able to attend three Prep Dig Tournaments with two weekends of the Prep Dig Resolution in Appleton, Wisconsin and the Prep Dig Minnesota Slam in Rochester.  Hundreds of players and plenty of performances to write about from these weekends with athletes from Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  Who are the liberos to know from these events?     I can't talk about top liberos without talking about [player_tooltip player_id='523160' first='Lily' last=''] Shields of [program_tooltip program_id='428662' first='Wisconsin' last='Ice'] 18 National. This Ice team has been one to watch for years with a solid core group where Shields is a definite leader. She commands the backrow, she is connecting with all of her teammates, and controls the game with the first contact whether it is with her first contact or bringing calm to the chaos. After a successful career at Newman Catholic out of Wausau, she will take her talents to Winona State where this program has had plenty of success with Wisconsin preps.     I have watched [player_tooltip player_id='522949' first='Ava' last='Van Camp'] her entire club career as well as playing for Kimberly High School. She will be heading to UW-Oshkosh down the road where she will look to continue the recent success of the Titans. Van Camp brings a great vibe to the court where she has positive energy and a confidence that is contagious. Her consistency is what really propels this team. Her Spiketown 18.1 team claimed a bid to nationals in Salt Lake City by finishing runner up in the 18 American Division at the Northern Lights Qualifier.     [player_tooltip player_id='520842' first='Addison' last='Vaughn'] has a really unique skillset as a libero for Wisconsin Flight 18s where they have had a strong start to the 2025 club season. She gets their scoring started with a nasty serve. She's left handed and brings a lot of pop to her swing where that ball is really floating across the net. She also has a strong beach volleyball background where she can be creative with her first and second contact. She is from the Class of 2026 who will be on the radar of plenty of schools at the next level.     I really like the vibe that [player_tooltip player_id='435880' first='Analise' last='Coon'] brings to the court for her Spiketown 16.1 out of the Fox Valley. She has a high motor that can get her side of the net really buzzing with energy in how she can make the routine plays and the tough plays look routine. She always has her eyes up connecting with her teammates and is constantly communicating. She comes from a strong line of volleyball players in her family where the flow of the game comes naturally to her.     Sage Christman was a really key piece to the success of [program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 16 Elite who took home the title of 16 Open at the Prep Dig Resolution. Her success as a libero starts with her feet where she is able to get the ball and manipulate her platform to provide a consistent first touch for their team to run a balanced offense. There are multiple weapons on her side of the net where when they can be in system, they are very dangerous.     Like most [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] liberos, [player_tooltip player_id='521927' first='Payton' last='Schaefer'] is well trained, fundamentally sound, and has great awareness of her platform in all situations for a libero. She is able to provide consistency to serve receive, a second contact, and will keep the chaotic plays a little more calm. Her wingspan is comparable to an attacker which allows her to have quite the range in the backrow. This [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 16 Blue team is one to watch after a strong start to their season at the Prep Dig Resolution.     [player_tooltip player_id='522075' first='Lucy' last='Mulder'] is a Class of 2028 libero who is playing on the [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 14 Navy squad, she is a freshman at Wrightstown High School. This 14 Navy team is going to be one to watch at the Badger Region Qualifier and into the national qualifier stretch. Mulder brings a lot of athleticism to the libero position where she is able to get touches that others don't. She can provide a really consistent ball from serve receive and plays with plenty of poise and maturity.     [player_tooltip player_id='522092' first='Hallah' last='Josephson'] is another [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] libero who can change the course of the game with her ability to take kills away from the other side. She was so key for the [program_tooltip program_id='428591' first='FC' last='Elite'] 15 Blue run to the final four of the Prep Dig Resolution. She is a freshman at Winneconne High School and is one who is definitely on the radar. She does not play like a freshman where her skill level and poise is extremely mature.     [player_tooltip player_id='747099' first='Madison' last='Turner'] was a big time standout for [program_tooltip program_id='431954' first='Impact' last=''] 16-1 out of the St. Paul, Minnesota area where they finished in the final four of the 16s bracket of the Prep Dig Minnesota Slam. [program_tooltip program_id='431954' first='Impact' last=''] had some attackers who could terminate, but the first contact from Turner was really key for this team. She anticipates well where she didn't have to move much once the ball was contacted. This was consistent throughout the weekend!     [player_tooltip player_id='522957' first='Regan' last='Pries'] was a a major spark for Iowa One enroute to their 15s title at the Minnesota Slam. The all around ball control for this team was really solid where they were always putting pressure on the other side of the net with two to three attacker options. Pries anticipates well, is able to adjust her platform angle, and is always connecting with her teammates providing key leadership on the court.     The SWMNVB 18-1 squad out of the Marshall, Minnesota area is so well trained and fundamentally sound. The commander fo this team from the backrow is [player_tooltip player_id='497650' first='Makia' last='Radtke'] is from the Class of 2026 and should be on the radar of schools at the next level. I really liked how she would hold her platform after her pass, just like the greats are trained. Her passing starts with her feet and you can tell she has been coached well throughout her career. She preps at Marshall High School who is a state powerhouse in Minnesota.     Another strong player from Iowa One is [player_tooltip player_id='739308' first='Rebecca' last='Aronson'] who was part of the Iowa One 16 Aly team who was the runner up in the 16s division at the Minnesota Slam. She is cool, calm, and collected where she has a very relaxed platform and presence. Aronson is a Class of 2027 libero from Waterloo Christian who has a couple of other players playing for Iowa One and will be a team to take note of this upcoming fall in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area.     [player_tooltip player_id='733239' first='Avery' last='Douglas'] is the libero for [program_tooltip program_id='430342' first='Alexandria' last='Volleyball Club'] where she is a 2026 prospect from Swanville High School in Central Minnesota. She is able to anticipate well by not having to move once the attacker makes contact. Her ability to put up a clean second ball is a huge advantage to her team. This group had a strong weekend where they advanced to Sunday's gold bracket.
