Last weekend was a big one for club volleyball, but it was easy to overlook some of the events.

With Triple Crown drawing a lot of eyes, and an event taking place in Detroit, The Nike North Coast Cup in Cleveland could have been one of those events that didn't get its necessary attention.

Still, a lot of Michigan squads performed well in Ohio, particularly in the 2026 and 2027 classes. Here's eight players that stood out on film from The Nike North Coast Cup.

[player_tooltip player_id='243338' first='Addison' last='Dunning'], OH Five:1 17 Black

Five:1 got a top-5 finish in the 17 Premier Division last weekend and their dynamic 1-2 punch on the outside was a big reason why. Dunning showed elite play at the pin and in the back row. She's got a knack for making a tough dig, and is very consistent with her offensive approach and ability to put a ball away.

[player_tooltip player_id='728696' first='Emiya' last='Franklin'], OH Michigan Elite 16 Elite

Franklin's explosiveness really captivates you. She's able to fly off the floor and wait for the ball to uncork a powerful kill. Franklin was particularly strong during bracket play and in the final, coming through with some attacks that left the opponent feeling helpless.

[player_tooltip player_id='732307' first='Sarah' last='Giroux'], OH Michigan Elite 16 Elite

Giroux had some really impressive outings during the weekend, racking up a pair of double-digit kill matches. Giroux was contributing in all phases of the game, but when she was on a roll on the pin, she was very difficult to slow down.

[player_tooltip player_id='523872' first='Anika' last='Jaroszewski'], L/DS Michigan Elite 16 Elite

To pick up a championship, as 16 Elite did in the 16 Premier Division, your libero has to play well. Jaroszewski did just that. She was steady all weekend and came through with some great dives and sprawls to keep the ball in play. Jaroszewski did a great job of not letting opponents get into an offensive rhythm.

[player_tooltip player_id='489939' first='Vivian' last='Jones'], OH L2 172

L2 172 earned a top-10 finish in the 17 Premier Division last weekend and Jones was a steady contributor in all phases of the game. The 6-footer was finishing at a high rate from the front and back row, while also being a key defensive contributor with her blocking and passing. Jones always stayed within herself and made the smart plays, avoiding being overly aggressive at the wrong time.

[player_tooltip player_id='443001' first='Zoe' last='Ryan'], OH Michigan Elite 16 Elite

Ryan was the setter that had Michigan Elite playing well all weekend. Along with being able to run a smooth offense, she's also able to put down a powerful serve to give her team all the momentum. She learned a lot from their lone loss of the weekend and applied that in the final to get her team a dominant win in the rematch.

[player_tooltip player_id='442613' first='Lily' last='Sukup'], OH Five:1 17 Black

Sukup is the other part of the 1-2 punch for this Five:1 squad on the outside. She looks very polished in everything she does on the floor. Watching her offensively, you see a technically sound swing that generates a lot of power. Sukup plays the angles well on top of that. Defensively, Sukup also makes few mistakes.

Chan'el Wimberley, MB Legacy 17 Elite East

Legacy's 17 Elite East squad finished in the top 10 of the 17 Club Division and Wimberley showed a lot of good things throughout the weekend, particularly with her blocking. Wimberley can play the right side or middle, but in either spot she has great timing to stuff a lot of attacks. Offensively, Wimberley also got on a couple of nice runs to put together solid kill totals.
