Five Middles From Indiana Available For Next Fall

All five of them, from four different clubs, are more than capable of scoring points at the next level from the middle. More of an M2 than an M1, Carson's knowledge of the game and steady improvement over the years had her reopen her recruitment process. She excels at M2 transition, and puts away nearly every ball she gets in transition simply because she's faster than her opponents, especially in front of the setter. I find her defense is a bit more advanced than her offense at the moment, but the offensive side can easily catch up with a little high-level training, like what she's receiving at Academy with the 18-1 squad. Broad-shouldered and strong, Miss Holden takes up space on the block with ease and uses her long strides to defend from pin to pin. Big and physical, she's probably the strongest out of the five listed here. More of a late bloomer to the game of volleyball, Miss Woodard comes from a non-traditional volleyball program in high school where very few of her classmates play club ball. Her physicality has helped her develop into the solid middle she is today, and will be a project for a college looking for an athletic and strong middle who can spend time on the right pin as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
