New (to us) Additions To The Class Of 2026

Since our last update in December, we added four new commitments to move our class of '26 total to 33 overall, which is a lot for our junior classes here in Indiana. What makes her new? Her reclassification to this graduating class from the '25 class. One of the better setters in <em>this</em> class, Kyla is a sure-footed and strong-handed setter that is training and playing with the inaugural 18-1 squad at Pineapple High Performance. Her feet always seem to get her to the spot, and her hands locate a ball that is highly hittable for all of her hitters in all situations. Relentless in her work ethic, this iteration of PHP is not having the best of seasons, but you wouldn't know it from Kyla's effort and attitude.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["745446"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67d019cd7ab8f"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Capable of playing either middle or right side, her most recent play has her as an M2 for NIVA's 17 Purple (17-1) squad. Her length is her strength, and her transition footwork gets her full 6'1" frame up in a hurry. More terminal as a defender at the moment, I personally like her on the right side more than the middle, but that shouldn't limit her recruitment, as anyone could use a kid over 6' these days.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["745448"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67d019cd7abd6"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">A long, lithe and lean pin attacker, Elaina uses every bit of her six foot frame and jumping ability to go over smaller blockers and tool off of undisciplined blockers to score points. She's deceptively quick with her arm swing; no matter where the ball is set, you can be sure that a quick whip of her arm through the attacking zone. I'd like to see a little more serve receive from her, as this would help my evaluation of her future prospects. Until I see some defensive play away from the net, it's easy to see that Elaina is a solid three-rotation option for the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["397719"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-67d019cd7ac19"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Easily the fastest and highest jumper in this group of five, Haidyn is a quick and springy M2 that transitions faster than any middle from southern Indiana in her class. I like her shot selection, as she can hit multiple angles on multiple tempi of sets in front of the setter. Playing up on the 18-1 this spring, Ava's a transfer from Boiler Juniors that has maximized her abilities by being great at everything, including her high volleyball IQ. Ava might be best as a small-school primary-passing outside, and is the kind of kid that should never come out of the game because of her well-rounded skill set.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
