Behind the Scenes of the 2028 Rank

In this article:
I am pretty sure most scouts can agree that the first rank for any class is the toughest. There is so much potential for so many athletes; it is hard to crunch that down into rankings. Also, there are so many more athletes to see and add to our radar. I know for me, when I have been covering events with 15s this season, my fingers never stop flying in my notes app as I jot down name after name. Here is a quick peek at the first rank for the class of 2028.
The Numbers
The initial watch list, which was released, included 82 athletes. This latest update includes a ranking of 62 athletes and a watchlist of 85 athletes. We added 65 athletes to this update, all of whom were seen during tournaments and made an impression on the Wisconsin scouts. Remember, this is only the first rank for this class, which will be updated and expanded every few months until almost graduation!

Keep working hard! Even if you don't see your name on the rankings or watch list, know that your work is valued. Remember, creating or claiming your profile is free (you do not need a subscription). Keeping your information up to date can help scouts as we navigate large tournaments. If you have a volleyball profile on social media, give the Wisconsin scouts a follow. My Instagram handle is @prepdigrachel. We try to watch as many teams as possible, but there are so many of you and only three of us! Please don't hesitate to say hi if you see us around. And if you see that we'll be at a big tournament, you can definitely send your schedule.
