Tegan Loechler
About Tegan
Expert Analysis
Chris Fitzgerald | Prep Dig Scout
The top prospect in the Wisconsin Class of 2028 brings a really dynamic skillset to the table. At 6’3, Loechler has the length, she plays well above the net. Take away her setting – and she’s a top right side attacker. Watching her on the 16 Open courts has been exciting because she always finds a way to impact the game. Her trajectory at the next level will be interesting. She can set, she can score, she does it all. She plays for one of the top high school programs in Wisconsin in Divine Savior Holy Angels out of Milwaukee and is on the top club team in Milwaukee Sting 16 Gold. They will be off the next couple of weeks, but will be back in action at the start of May at Gold Rush at Boiler Juniors.

Tegan plays at such an incredible level. She has trained with the NTDP and is just a fierce athlete and competitive player. When she is on the court, she is relentless. I have had the opportunity to see Tegan play at showcases, during club, and during the high school season, and she consistently performs for her team. Whether she is setting or hitting, Tegan impacts the game in enormous ways. She has a high volleyball IQ and has set herself apart not only as the top athlete in this class but also as one of the top athletes in Wisconsin across all grade levels.

Tegan Loechler has emerged as one of the top sophomores in Wisconsin.
She is a setter/right side combo player for Divine Savior Holy Angels out of Milwaukee, where they have won the past three large school state titles in Wisconsin’s largest class.
The all-around skill set of Loechler is what sets her apart from others.
This season, she has over 450 assists, 263 kills, and 175 digs. The Dashers and Loechler have started their postseason journey, where they will look to claim a fourth straight state championship. If they succeed, there’s no question Loechler will have been at the heart of it.

Tegan is quickly turning into a 6-rotation powerhouse. She has really honed her speed and setting in the last year as well as how dynamic she is as a hitter. She consistently ran down balls as a setter in the back court, kept all of her hitters involved, and made smart decisions. When Tegan was in the front row, she was a go-to hitter, was a wall at the net, providing a huge first line of defense, and made very few errors. Her all-around play allowed her team to remain competitive, and Tegan proved that she could terminate in key moments.

Tegan Loechler is a really unique talent for Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold. At 6’3, she has the length as an attacker to be extremely terminal with a big block on the right side. She is also someone who can run the show and set. Dynamic would be an understatement. She was part of one of the top high school teams in the country this past fall for Divine Savior Holy Angels, helping them to their third straight title. She is Wisconsin’s top prospect out of the Class of 2028 and will be one college coaches are going to want to get to camp this summer.

Tegan is an athlete to keep an eye on in this class. She is set to be one of the top 2028s with her ability to set and swing. Tegan has a high contact and is hard to read on the set. Her footwork and jump sets are consistent. Tegan is simply a difference-maker on the court and is only a freshman. She also is a powerhouse hitter and puts up a massive block.
