Fantastic Right Sides: Athletes with Dominate Performances

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have been to numerous tournaments over the past couple of months. One of the positions that is always the most dynamic to watch is the right side. These hefty hitters not only need to know how to swing, but also have to put up the biggest blocks. These athletes have some of the hardest jobs on the court. I watched her over the Presidents' Day tournament and was impressed with her ability to not only deliver well placed sets with tempo, but also attacks with her monster arm swing from the right pin. She moves quickly and adjusts in order to hit the inside set, push tips down the line, and just overall find ways to score. Whitaker will also take big swings from the left pin and out of the backcourt. To say she is versatile is an understatement. I have seen her set, play the middle, and also be dominate on the right side. Her attacks from the right pin are especially hard to stop. She reads the block in front of her well and adapts, going around it, finding the seam, or using blockers hands to her advantage. Ossmann also puts up a solid block herself. While she is a young right side (class of 2028), she has a big skill set. I was immediately impressed with her vertical, speed, reach, and the sheer force at which she attacks the ball. Olsen was also a force at the net..she had solid footwork, read well, and was able to stop many attacks. This 6'1” lefty right side is beast on the court. Her blocking is off the charts. She reads well, positions herself correctly, and has a stellar reach that allows her to stop opponents in their tracks. Otto is also deadly on the offense end. While her in system swings are impressive, her attacks on out of system balls are jaw dropping at times.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
