There were some impressive performances at Motor City Madness last weekend, but it would be hard to find a more impressive one than what Legacy 14-1 ADIDAS did.

The Class of 2029 players went 6-0 in the 16 Open/Premier Division to claim the championship, dropping just one set along the way while playing all 16U squads.

Already one of the best 14U squads in the national, Legacy's play this weekend bodes well for what the Class of 2029 is going to bring to the state with this upcoming freshman class next fall.

Here's a breakdown of the team and how they performed this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='587564' first='Lexi' last='Coleman'], OH

As a 14U squad, Legacy didn't have as much length as many of their opponents, but Coleman was one of the exceptions. At 6-foot, Coleman can play very big, as she gets a great jump off the floor and high-points her attacks. She racked up endless kills this weekend and was the go-to hitter whenever Legacy needed a finish. She was strong from both pins and showed a wide array of locations and swing speeds.

[player_tooltip player_id='709559' first='Kaelyn' last='Easton'], S

Easton shows a lot of advanced awareness and court IQ. She mixes up her play well and keeps her foot on the gas for this dynamic offense. Easton spreads the ball out and recognizes where it needs to go during long rallies. She's also a solid defensive asset. At 5'11” she was an imposing blocker throughout the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='757121' first='Stella' last='Smith'], L

The Legacy defense could get overlooked due to its talented offense, but the offense was able to look so good because Legacy stayed in-system so often. Smith is a competitive libero that wants to get to every ball, and she usually does if it comes in her direction. She brings a lot of energy to her team and does an exceptional job of backing up her hitters.

Riley Harrah, OH

Harrah has big power without having to display a big wind up. She can dial up a bigger swing when she needs to, but her ability to adjust and still put a lot of heat on the ball is a great skill to possess. Harrah also was hitting from both pins and putting the ball away at a high rate.

Emily Nwabueze, MH

A name familiar in the Michigan volleyball circles, Nwabueze shows great footwork and explosiveness to establish herself as a top prospect. She makes powerful swings look rather effortless and has a great feel for her timing.

Saniya Tucker, MH

Tucker brings a 6'2” frame to the middle for Legacy and she definitely is a force to deal with for opposing hitters. Offensively, Tucker has good hang time to be able to wait on the ball and then find an opening in the defense. She's got a high ceiling for where her talents can go.

Kate Berghoff, OH

Berghoff has an athletic approach to the net and a smooth swing. She was able to finish at the pin or the back row with challenging attacks. She's comfortable anywhere on the floor, and is a mechanically sound player.

Charlotte Keyes, MH

Keyes brings some length to the net with a long wingspan. She's showing good strides in her timing, as she can deliver a potent kill when things click. She also stays active with her blocking and battles hard for the 50-50 balls.

Anna Lock, RS

Lock came through with some timely kills during the weekend. She was steady on the right side and played smart shots, attacking both sidelines consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='788886' first='Bristol' last='Davenport'], DS

Davenport was a crucial piece to Legacy's defensive excellence throughout the weekend. She came through with dozens of digs and looks calm doing it. Davenport moved well and adjusted quickly to the ball.

There were some impressive performances at Motor City Madness last weekend, but it would be hard to find a more impressive one than what Legacy 14-1 ADIDAS did.
