The club season for the class of 2025 for the most part has ended. The final rankings for that class has been posted. Below are some of the risers and newcomers to that class. I did not spend as much time watching the 18U as I watched the younger classes, so the changes are minimal.

The update for the class of 2026 through 2029 rankings will occur after the Junior Nationals in Dallas. Some big events such as the East Coast Championships, the Prep Dig showcase as well as the junior nationals in Dallas remain. I am certain there still exist a number of outstanding prospects to discover before the rankings get finalized.

In my opinion one of the more improved players in this class. She went from 20 to 14 in the rankings.

Last year her offense consisted mostly of tips and slam dunks over the block. Some of those slam dunks got called while others did not. This year she actually increased her offensive repertoire to deliver more spikes around the block. However, I should caution that this is based only on my review of her during the short window when I watched her. Based on that her offensive game seemed more consistent and varied.

She always appeared as a presence with the block. At 6'5" she pushes herself high over the net. The Santa Clara commit could become an impact player in college. Her height certainly creates disruption at the net.

Emily moved from 26 to 15 in the rankings. Her offensive display at the Chesapeake Regional Bid earned Liberty a National Division appearance. She brings a powerful left handed swing to the court. At 5'10 some may prefer a right side a couple inches taller, but she can consistently put the ball down. Liberty Elite finished as the third best team in the Region for 18U.

She also was the top offensive performer for her high school, getting them to the finals of the class 1 Maryland high school state championships in 2023.

Emily has committed to Shepherd University in West Virginia, along with [player_tooltip player_id='181299' first='Ada' last='McCoy'], who ranks at 16, just one spot below Emily. Those are two very good future pins for the Rams, a Division II powerhouse.

[player_tooltip player_id='481961' first='Addison' last='Ziegler'] right side (Clear Spring/[program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge']) - Addison moved from 48 to 27 in our class of 2025 ranking. Since she plays down a level with [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] 17 her season still carries on. With that movement up to 27 she now is the highest ranked player who has yet to commit from the class of 2025. Another right side player who also brings a powerful lefthanded swing to the court. [program_tooltip program_id='494409' first='Blue' last='Ridge'] has earned two USA bids in qualifiers but has turned both down because they will play in AAUs in Florida. Addison also was the main offensive weapon for Clear Spring, which won the Maryland class 1 state championship in 2023 and reached the finals in 2024.

[player_tooltip player_id='309024' first='Caroline' last='Lang'] middle/right side (St. Annes Balfield/Metro) - Another player who saw significant improvement over the years. Caroline jumped from 58 to 28 in the rankings. At 6'3" Caroline has the versatility to play both right side and middle. Her ability to drive balls into the court has greatly improved over the years. Caroline has committed to Virginia.

Skylar flew under my radar for the longest time. Her offensive display for Potomac really impressed, almost getting them to the VISAA State championship. They eventually lost to Flint Hill in five in the semi-finals. Skylar led the team with 17 kills. She climbed from 74 to 58 in the rankings.

Her offensive contributions for Virginia Elite allowed them to be one of the top five clubs in the 18U age group. She has a younger sister [player_tooltip player_id='763132' first='Raegan' last='Giuliani'] who will play as a frosh for Potomac next season.

Skylar has committed to Emory.

[player_tooltip player_id='569805' first='Larissa' last='Blair'] outside (Boonsboro/Liberty Elite) - Larissa came on the radar after her offensive performance for Boonsboro, leading them to the Maryland Class 1 state championship this year. She also teamed with [player_tooltip player_id='346735' first='Emily' last='Ryder'] to win the Chesapeake Regional Bid championship. At 5'10 Larissa brings good height to the outside. She moved from 108 to 77 in our rankings. Larissa has yet to commit.

New Additions

[player_tooltip player_id='756466' first='Caleigh' last='Orr'] OH (Woodson/Mojo) - Caleigh impressed from the left side when she played for Mojo. She could really power balls down the line. At 5'11" she brings good height for the left side. While Woodson fell just short of making the playoffs for high school they still finished over .500 for the season after losing two of their top left sides, one to graduation, the other to a move out of the area. Caleigh took one of those spots and rolled with it, leading the team in kills. She debuts at number 180 in our class of 2025 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='752054' first='Madison' last='Rogers'] middle (Jamestown/[program_tooltip program_id='498497' first='757' last='volleyball club']) - Madison impressed me with her middle play during the MAPL tournament. She ran the quick sets well. At 5'11' she may sacrifice a little height for quickness. For her high school team her middle play got Jamestown to the state playoffs. They lost in the first round to Atlee. Madison finished third on the team in blocks and fourth in kills. She has committed to Christopher Newport. Madison debuts at number 188 in our class of 2025 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='752070' first='Isabella' last='Arthur'] middle (Tabb/[program_tooltip program_id='498498' first='Virginia' last='Wave']) - Isabella played on the [program_tooltip program_id='498498' first='Virginia' last='Wave'] 17 team, playing a year down. She powered balls through a number of blocks at the MAPL tournament]. A multisport athlete who played both basketball and volleyball for Tabb. While she played middle for [program_tooltip program_id='498498' first='Virginia' last='Wave'] it appears outside was her primary position at Tabb high school. She finished second on the team in kills, as well as second in digs. Tabb also used her in serve receive as one of their primary passers. Isabella debuts at number 192 in our class of 2025 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='727892' first='Alexis' last='Badu'] setter (Elanor Roosevelt/Metro) - I did not really see a lot of Alexis play. For Metro [player_tooltip player_id='181303' first='Isabelle' last='Bardin'] primarily set a 5/1. They also carried [player_tooltip player_id='181244' first='Ryan' last='Hicks'] as a setter. She did appear late in a game I watched. For Metro she lists at 6'0" with a 10'7" approach jump. Only [player_tooltip player_id='181300' first='Alexis' last='Ewing'] on the 18U team reached that level. George Washington saw something they liked in her. She has committed to play for them. She debuts at number 199 in our class of 2025 rankings, but if I saw more of her, it would not surprise me that she deserves higher.

[player_tooltip player_id='756427' first='Elise' last='Bragg'] outside (Elizabeth Seton/Maryland Jrs) - That last spot is always reserved for a special player who brings the skills to rise to greater heights. Elise earned a Prep Dig Cheasapeake Regional Bid championship first team tournament selection for her outside play with Maryland Juniors. She also played for [program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last=''] a couple years ago as a right side. Another player who may have positioned herself higher if I saw her play more. Elise has committed to Shippensburg. She debuts at number 200 in our class of 2025 rankings.
