Alpha Performance Volleyball 15 teams overview

The most productive was Lexington Christian freshman defensive specialist [player_tooltip player_id='612081' first='Sophia' last='Gorshak'] followed by Lafayette 6-0 freshman [player_tooltip player_id='741500' first='Lily' last='Grant']. George Rogers Clark freshman defensive specialist/outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='775658' first='Brooke' last='Gough'] saw action in 25 games and Great Crossing freshman outside hitter [player_tooltip player_id='612084' first='Kinsley' last='VanGuilder'] saw action in 19 games. Then Scott County freshman setter [player_tooltip player_id='611961' first='Ava' last='Kragel'] saw limited action on varsity this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Frederick Douglass freshman Daleigh Johnson plays middle blocker. George Rogers Clark freshman Hollins Pumphrey plays middle and opposite hitter with Western Hills freshman Ellie Harrell playing setter or opposite hitter. Sedona Springs rounds out the roster at outside/right side hitter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Former Frederick Douglass head coach Nick Griffin is the team's head coach. The team next plays in the Indy Cup on Friday and Saturday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>A.52</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bryan Station freshman setter [player_tooltip player_id='888196' first='Lily' last='Howard'] and Western Hills freshman middle hitter [player_tooltip player_id='611662' first='Nora' last='Elliott'] lead this group after playing in at least 32 varsity games last year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two other setter are listed on this roster in Tori Tovar and George Rogers Clark freshman Hadley Farmer, who also plays defensive specialist. Two other George Rogers Clark freshmen grace the roster in defensive specialist Addison Palmer and middle/outside hitter Mackenzie Cowles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Frederick Douglass freshman Jaylen Smith gives the team a presence in the middle. Great Crossing freshman Kylie Miller can set and play right side hitter. She reads hitters well then squares her arms up to balls consistently making precise two to three-point passes. Gorshak could turn into a sound defensive specialist with more work on her ball control. Gough can make a quick first pass then transition to offense to take a powerful hit. She can hit over and through double blocks. Elliott does a good shoving balls from the middle to the shallow lines. Elliott can also smack balls to the back row so defenses have to respect that.
