As a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, the term “June Swoon” usually means that the Cubs blew a quick start to the season by suffering a long losing streak in June.

Let's hope that doesn't happen to my first-place Cubs in 2025.

It's also a month where I can take a deep breath and start preparing for next fall.

This June, in particular, is a time to share some Prep Dig updates and news.

The first update is in regards to the Prep Dig Missouri/Kansas Stock Up Showcase. The showcase was scheduled for May 31, but has been moved to July 27. It will still take place at the [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] Volleyball Facilities from 9:00-11:00 am.

I plan on scouting the event and providing coverage of the event on Prep Dig. Athletes can register for the event using this link https://events.prepdig.com/e/1511/register/missourikansas-stock-up-showcase . Athletes can use the Coupon Code DeckardDig2025 to save on their registration fees.

Rankings for the classes of 2027-2029 were updated in May. The next round of ranking updates will be planned before the school year and prep season begin.

Prep Dig Profiles have been created for each of the ranked athletes. Those profiles can be claimed for free by using the following link https://prepdig.com/prospect-index/#claim-profile-anchor

Athletes are encouraged to claim their profiles and add contact information, and video highlights. Athletes with claimed profiles will get a slight advantage in the rankings at the onset.

I will begin putting together my scouting schedule for the fall. High school coaches are encouraged to send me schedules for next fall. My email is deckscoutks@gmail.com, and my X account is @KSScoutDeck.

This report features two athletes who registered for the showcase right before it was postponed. It also features three athletes I have not seen play in person yet, and would love to see at the Showcase.

In no way should those three athletes feel pressured to attend the event. I have not seen them play and just want to make sure they know they are on my radar.

Bloom is a setter that I have yet to see play in person. The Frontenac setter enters her junior season ranked No. 83 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She dished out 934 assists in 107 sets last season for the Raiders. Bloom also collected 236 digs and 47 aces during her junior campaign.
