Iowa 2027s That Showed Out at LOVB Recruiting Showcase

She showed consistency and a broad skill set at the setter position. It was nice getting a chance to scout her again at the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase during June. Danielson confirmed that she could contribute for the defending Class 5A state champion Spartans after operating on a loaded PV sophomore squad in 2024. With soft touch and consistent delivery, Danielson sets up all three front row positions for success. Attackers are furnished with opportunities to end points. She's a good athlete that can defend at the net or dig it out. In volleyball terms, she was raw in volleyball, but the potential popped out as well. Jones is beginning to realize it. From seeing her again at the beginning of the last prep season to scouting opportunities at the Iowa Regionals and LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase during June, Jones is developing into one of the state's most impactful players. A well-rounded performer, Jones piled up 251 kills and 173 digs as a sophomore in 2024. Improved in the back row, where perhaps her future may be on the next level, Jones' attack has become more consistent. It's always been powerful. Her vertical and hang time impress. I saw her performing with her club and then again during the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June. Kruse spent time on last year's Bobcat varsity, and her play this offseason indicates she's prepared for a bigger role in 2025. Versatility should open up more opportunities for her. Kruse is a long-armed, taller setter capable of hitting all three front-row positions with accurate offerings. That height, along with athleticism, allows her to line up at the opposite pin, too. It's a skill set that also works on the outside. Keep an eye on Kruse this season. She displayed that versatile skill set during a scouting opportunity at the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June. McCord looked comfortable operating as a setter and held up well as a defensive specialist. That should be valuable for a Cougars outfit with a lot of talent coming back. That should pay off this season and beyond. Pankey is a main part of that bright future. She delivered 215 digs as a sophomore on the varsity last year. A strong club campaign has Pankey prepared for an even more impactful 11th-grade season. She looked ready for it when scouting the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June. Pankey moved well laterally and showed quick reflexes. She did the same when I scouted her during this club campaign. It happened again during the LOVB Midwest Recruiting Showcase in June. Ramstack is poised for a big junior year for Bettendorf in 2025. And that's saying something after she led the Bulldogs with 235 digs as a sophomore. Fundamentally sound, Ramstack reads the action well. She combines that trait with quick reflexes and lateral movements. Ramstock keeps plays alive even when she can't make a clean pass, which she often accomplishes against the most attacks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
