Which Nebraska 15s Could Make Big Gains at GJNC?

She can play on either pin or slot into the middle--or switch roles depending on the rotation. Fowlkes's tremendous athleticism helps unlock this versatility, and we could see her multi-position role persist in Dallas. The Ashland-Greenwood standout has compiled an impressive highlight tape, particularly as Premier Nebraska 15 Black honed its skills in pre-Nationals scrimmages. Whaley often dons the libero jersey for her team and brings a stabilizing serve-receive presence in the middle-back area. Floor defense has also been a major growth area for 15 Black with Whaley leading the way. Her uncanny leadership skills shone during 15 Black's run through the Show Me Qualifier, giving us the first glimpse at the team's postseason potential. We've wondered if this is the next wave of small-town stars to come out of this club, and Klockman's name has popped up during the team's tremendous spring stretch. The Perkins County prep star hits a heavy ball in the frontcourt and has built her all-around game to suit 15 Black's system. Klockman's ball control skills were also on display as she appeared at one of last year's Prep Dig showcase events. Johnson had an impressive prep debut with Holdrege High School last fall, racking up triple-digit kills and anchoring the team's strong block. She has emerged as a lethal in-system terminator for 15 Black, particularly as the team marched to the Show Me Qualifier championship match. The Millard South underclassman has a strong transition game and cannot be slowed by a large volume of first contacts.
